Loves going to camp so I put her in for 2 weeks this 2023 summer. Great fun and memories to be made. She takes swimming lessons each summer session $50 add on. She enjoys the art singing chants and friends she makes. They have paddle boarding , canoeing, and the blob in the water. They also have a pool and basketball courts. The cabins are okay. It's pretty hot and humid on a September day, so make sure to turn the AC down. I wiped down the mattress with a Clorox wipe and it turned from white to brown. Pretty good place for a retreat. Not a good place for a neat freak.

They don't try to talk to you as a teacher to a parent, no they think it's okay to come at you sideways. I work myself to the bone to pay for childcare, which helps pay their paycheck. They forget that part. They wouldn't have a job if it wasn't for the parents. The prices are continuing to get way too expensive. They are still going up constantly but yet the service is still declining.

The facility was about 45 minutes from the FEMA training center in Anniston, Alabama, so being bused back and forth was a bit of a drag. You can expect that on deployments. Anyways, I've sidetracked. The facility here is really cool. It has a large conference center and a beautiful lake with many recreational activities for the whole family. It also has several large housing buildings that are setup like hotels. The rooms are 3 star with some having sleeping quarters for up to 6 people (2 bunk beds and a full size bed) perfect for families with children. The rooms do not have TV'S so they are perfect for wholesome family time. WIFi is also available!
