I have no clue how she is even in this kind of position. She doesn't help but just makes everything more hard for everyone and seems to get joy out of it. You're basically going from one abusive place to another. Some people here are very clearly only here for a house and lied about abuse. Your unit when you move in will be so disgusting like no one can clean it before the next person moves in so who knows how old this crap is. They don't really care about you and how you are doing. Just another control keep you on a short leash crap. They will also throw you out on the street with your kids even with nowhere to go. Great help right??

I have a torn tendon in my left h hand. Not only that, I was earning less money (without stimulus). I asked what the reasoning is Ana's they got mad. Never answered my question. Covid hit and Helen got paranoid. She was giving out bad advice with zero knowledge of healthcare. I addressed this and she had the case manager come in my room - breaking social distances- to scold me. I asked for space as Helen is passive aggressive and super petty. I was there to recover from abusive women like Helen, Ruth, and Karen. I pointed that out and the froze a cctv of me removing my face covering before walking into my unlocked apartment. They then said I was noncompliant and had me thrown out. They called crisis on me 2x for no reason. The counselor and I laughed about it. They then told police I spit when I took a deep breath and tried to charge me with assault. The video cleared me. So in a pandemic, they threw me out with nowhere to go (they knew this) called crisis on me, attempted to file assault charges, charged me for storage even though they were not allowing me to get my things, charged me for cleaning even though they never gave me the opportunity and my apartment was dirty when I moved in. They held my security deposit for this. I can go on....

My good friend was a client of yours in the past. I will not say her name due to anonymity, but I…read morewant to discuss how she said the program treated her. I would first like to commend you for assisting the influx of clients of domestic and sexual violence within the past year. Unfortunately, there are some flaws that need to be adjusted. First one being that my friend stated that the person whom answered her initial hotline call was very monotone and came across rude. She felt rushed and unheard. Her name was Caroline. She, as an employee of your organization should have the proper education and training on how to speak to clients who've gone through this trauma. Her experience made her want to not proceed with services at first because she was fearful the entire staff was going to speak to her just as poorly. Anyone who goes through abuse needs somebody to listen to them. Second, my friend was told that she is unable to come in for an intake right away at the office because appointments were filled up. If there is a plethora of clients contacting you, shouldn't you be hiring more staff? When my friend finally did get into the office she did have a pleasant experience with her counselor so no complaints there, but noticed again... understaffed. There are only few counselors. You should always have at least 5 staff members for regular client sessions. Is this organization unable to keep staff? If so, how come? People like my friend should not have been spoken to like how she did on the phone nor have to wait for an appointment. Trauma is complex and needs discussion. Lastly, she requested shelter placement and she was told she'd have to be in crisis which I completely understand, however emotional abuse is just as damaging as physical abuse. It shouldn't take physical abuse to give somebody the emergency placement they need. What if my friend hurt herself or did a permanent decision because she couldn't get the emergency shelter she needed? She was living in a home with an abusive partner who's words succumbed her to a breakdown. This organization needs a lot of work. I truly hope in 2023 you're able to hire adequate staff and fix your flaws. If God forbid I know anybody else in these situations in the future, I will be recommending 180 Turning Lives Around and not this organization. You are a social service agency assisting an struggling population. Act like it. Also this organization is located in Whiting, not Brick so that needs to be edited on here.
