    Morris Plains Co-Op Playschool

    Morris Plains Co-Op Playschool

A Pre-K to Learn and Play…read more If you have a need for a Pre-K that uses play based learning in the Morris Plains area then look no further than the Morris Plains Co-Op Playschool. Two different types of parent involvement are offered during the course of the school year, Co-Op or Non-Co-Op. The Non-Co-Op route is pretty much the standard drop your kids off and pick them up at the end of the day experience. This option costs a bit more. The Co-Op route involves helping the teacher of the class about once every 3 weeks on average. This option costs a bit less, but you gain an extra insight as to how your child is interacting in school and how they are developing throughout the year. An invaluable experience if you can afford the time commitments. The teaching staff here are wonderful and are obviously great with kids as evident by all the hugs they get when classes are finished. Afternoon preschool class time is filled with free play, directed art time, rug/circle time, singing, dancing, snack time, and playing. LOTS OF PLAYING! There is play time at the end of class either inside or outside depending on the weather. If the weather is nice, play time will be out on the playground behind the school. If the weather is less than cooperative, the children go downstairs to play in the basement that has been turned into an inside play space safe for little ones to play when their smiles are the biggest. Based on our family experience the Morris Plains Co-Op Playschool is a wonderful place to entrust your little one(s) to while they socialize, learn, and play for a few hours a week.

No one loves sending their kid to daycare, but it's part of life for working parents. At the end of the day it's a clean facility and the teachers are sweet and care for my daughter. They feed her, change her, give her naps and play with her. There's not really much more that you can ask for when it comes to daycare. Looking at other negative reviews I was a bit nervous, but I just don't think it's realistic to expect money back if your child is out sick. And it's also not realistic to expect that your child will be tended to every single minute. There are 9 or 10 kids in class and 3-4 teachers. So it's just not going to happen. My daughter is too young for it now, but lunch is included in the price which is a a nice bonus. We didn't see that at too many other daycares that we toured. There is also a pretty legit outdoor play area which will be great in summer. The space is super clean and new, it's only been open for a year or so and it shows. The teachers send a few photo updates throughout the day and I always look forward to it. At the end of the day they email a daily report with info on naps, feedings and diapers. Teachers wear masks and everyone is temperature checked before entering the building. Daycare will never be the same as having my babe at home with me, but here she is well-cared for in a clean facility and that is really all I can ask for.

My experience overall has been really good. Any small concern has been addressed. Everyone remembers our family and our names and I genuinely feel like they love my child. And I believe she's having a great time while there. Every time I show up, she's just doing her thing and playing and she's even come home learning new words I didn't teach her, and things like blowing a kiss or sitting for meals. It's been great for our family.
