I spent 3 and a half hours in the…read morelobby, and had to go ask the front desk if I still had an appointment for them to call for me Once I got to the back, it was an additional 15 minutes of waiting before I saw anybody, and in that time I heard a staff member mention that there was only 1 doctor, and that there were patients in the lobby waiting for hours, and they said "what can we do" about the situation. Once the doctor arrived, he was very dismissive. His whole demeanor was couldn't be bothered like. He barely looked at my foot, and asked me if I wanted an Xray. Once I said yes and got back, he barely acknowledged it and said I was basically fine, and they were sending it to Radiology for them to see because they have better equipment. He then said "you can stay if you want, or you can go, and if anything comes back, you can pick up a boot". I had asked him if he thought it was broken or fractured, and he just skimmed over the top of that simple stating that, "sometimes sprains make the foot bruise and swell". Overall very dismissive and had a very I don't care attitude. As of Today, 3 days later, I have still yet to hear back about radiology and my foot is still in pain. My biggest concern with this clinic, was that I honestly felt they were waiting for me to leave, couldn't be bothered to help me, and made me feel ridiculous about even asking questions about what I thought was an injury to my foot. And it just made me feel like an inconvenience for even being there. I see why people put off probable health concerns because clinics like this make you feel absolutely stupid for even addressing concerns regarding your physical body. I would not recommend this, there are other and better Intermountain Health Facilities in the city, like the one on Broadwater, where I went to when I had severe Pneumonia and they were fantastic. Never once did I feel like I was an imposition, or my concerns didn't matter. Even though it is farther from where I live, I will be going to the Broadwater clinic for future needs.

Unfortunately, my experience with the front desk , whose name I believe is Kayla (I'm not sure if I heard or wrote her name correctly), has been disappointing. Last Tuesday around 4 PM, I called to ask if my son's glasses were ready for pickup. The phone connection was cutting out, so I politely asked her to repeat herself. Instead, she responded in an irritated, raised tone, "What is your question?" I was honestly taken back by her attitude. She eventually put me on hold for about five minutes and confirmed the glasses were ready. This was not the first time I experienced this kind of attitude. On a previous call, she also spoke to me rudely and ended the call abruptly before I was finished. Yesterday, when we picked up the glasses, I asked to speak with a supervisor and was surprised to find out that front desk Kayla herself was the supervisor. After three years, I couldn't help but wonder why my experiences with the front desk had not improved. I do want to recognize the other staff, especially the woman who wears glasses and usually sits toward the back on the left. She has helped us several times and has always been kind, professional, and provided excellent customer service. My concern is specifically with the front desk supervisor I believe is named Kayla. I understand that everyone has busy days, but respectful communication and good customer service should be expected...especially from someone in a supervisory position. It's literally the only way in Billings you can get an early pregnancy ultrasound to confirm pregnancy, without fully contracting first to an OB office. When I just wanted to confirm my positive test at home, La Vie took great care of me. I didn't feel like I was in a clinic, I felt like I was at a friend's small business. They even gave me a donated hand knitted blanket, and a baby nail trimmer, from this little basket of freebies for moms! My oldest son was given a cute little model of an 11 week old baby too, and we still have it now even though baby is now 2 years old. This new location also looks beautiful. Getting a return call is like shouting into the wind, even the neurologist office has remarked how hard it is to get a call back. Then when you get somebody on the phone the excuses on why no appointment has been made is ridiculous. I have been going to this center for going on 5years, the excuse of needing a pre-authorization is a lie. Pure and simple. I've spent so much time on the phone trying to explain this to the insurance/bookkeeping dept I should be getting a break on my bill for my time. In the mean time I'm hurting and time is ticking away so my orders are getting affected. I don't know how to even fix this, I call well in advance just to work the system.
