History

Established in 1986.

Our store was established in 1986 by Janice Williams. She realized how fast her children were growing out of things, she started going to garage sales and looking in the classifieds. She thought about it and asked herself, "Wouldn't it be nice to have a store where you could go and find quality used items all in one location?" and Thus, the Children's Exchange was born. In 1996 her sister Jolene and Tom Anderson bought it and ran it the same until 2025. Jolene approached one of her employees and asked if she would be interested in buy it. Kourtney, who is a mother of a blended family and a foster mom, thought it would be perfect for her. In June of 2025 Kourtney Thompson and her aunt, Jeanene Gerlach took it over. We wanted to keep it the same, little to no changes. We are still buying and selling quality infant through teen clothing and maternity styles for work and home, toys, games, books, movies, baby equipment and children's furniture.
