Today was my 2 years and 9 months old daughter's discovery day, for only about 2.5 hours. I received a voicemail from the teacher saying everything was going well and that she was doing great. When I arrived and spoke directly with her classroom teacher, she confirmed the same: my daughter struggled and cried at the beginning (which is very normal), then she relaxed, played with other children, followed directions, and participated in outdoor activities. I personally watched her playing with the other kids. However, I was shocked when the director told me they would not accept her because she "didn't adjust" and needed one-on-one attention, cuddling, and soothing, and that they are a group-teaching facility. This was very disappointing and confusing. The whole reason I enrolled my daughter in daycare is to help her adjust, learn that she is not the only child, and develop social skills appropriate for her age, especially since she has been home with me. It felt unfair to imply that I did something wrong by keeping my child at home longer. Toddlers are not supposed to come in as "ready-made" children who already know how to function perfectly in a group. That is literally what daycare is meant to help teach. Another daycare director just two blocks away told me that they usually need at least three weeks to determine whether a child truly cannot adjust. She also shared that in her 16 years of experience, she only turned away one child--and that was after a full week, not less than three hours. What made this even more disappointing is that the classroom teacher was positive and encouraging until I mentioned what the director had said. This experience felt unprofessional and inconsistent. To other parents: please enroll your children in a place that is willing to put in effort and truly support your child's development. From my experience, this facility seems to prefer only "easy" cases. I am disappointed, but thankful that this is not the only daycare in town. For my daughter, I would even change states if needed to find a place that respects her, supports her development, and does their job professionally. Please read about this facility on the DHR website before enrolling your children here. It looks wonderful from the outside and they came highly reviewed by friends and family. But putting our child here almost resulted in a parent's worst nightmare due to an employee's negligence. The complaints and the deficiency reports on the DHR website are symptoms of a root cause: disorganization and poor communication. Or they just don't care. I'm not sure which one is worse. I can verify I experienced both during my child's month of enrollment here. And there are probably people who send their kids here with zero issues. I wish that was my experience, because no parent wants to leave their children in incapable hands. But I wish I had read this DHR information beforehand; I would have thought twice and my family would have avoided a lot of pain and anguish. read more

We've been at this daycare since my son was about 16mos old- he's now 2 and a half. At that time, I was in-love with the facility, structure, teachers and the environment. I loved the diversity within and that's what really kept us there. Speeding along... there was an incident where children were left on the bus and staffing immediately were replaced. Initially, there were some positives in the staff change; However, slowly I noticed that teachers that my son truly admired and adored were leaving. Overlooked it because at that time my son and I had no problem under this new management- all was well initially. Then I noticed there was a time that he had gone through atleast four teachers within a month. This is when I began to look beyond this nice and beautiful building and began to pay closer attention. I received multiple excuses as to why teachers kept leaving. The one that immediately stuck with me was, "Idk what is it with that classroom-we can never keep a teacher" All that to say there is not enough self reflection in the current management there now. The staff is nice to who they want to be nice to. When concerns are presented everyone (including the owner) drags their feet. There is plenty of 'who else is to blame' versus implementing a plan to even begin to figure out why its such a high turnover rate in teachers AND students. I could go on for days about the problems my son and I have encountered and at this point, i've had enough. Because why keep repeating yourself to a brick wall? You can change the environment instead right? YEAH lol so.. Instead, I will leave this review to allow parents to explore beyond the beauty in a building and "all the daycare can offer". This daycare is not good at all. I use to work there and there was a lot of favoritism that was shown towards kids and staff. My 5 month Old almost suffocated in the baby room he was put in the crib with a bib on and it covered his face when i walked in the room my baby was screaming to the top of his lungs and whats so crazy there were 2 adults talking and playing in the room wasn't paying my baby nor the other kids no attention at all.i as a parent immediately went off and called the so called Director jasmine Thompson and she sent a nasty message basically saying she didn't care. she didn't want to talk about what happen to him. we have called the school trying to talk to the new owner and they tell us that he isn't in. he have know idea what happen to my child at all. There wasn't anything done to neither one of the staff because they are friends. You have teachers up there hitting kids and cursing at kids. please don't send your kids here at all it will be the worst thing ever. they pretend to care about your kids as long as you paying them some money. All I can say is... wow. The incompetence I saw in the three weeks my child attended this daycare was nothing short of dangerous. From "teachers" (little to no education happening here) huddled in corners talking to each other or using their cell phones while children ran freely unattended, to being allowed to enter the building with no credentials by a lady vacuuming the lobby. I then walked out with my daughter and not a single person asked me who I was. This was my first visit (and consequently, last) picking her up. Her mother reported to me that several times she was picked up sticky-faced and with wet pants. The children in room 5 would nap for three hours and then be given a snack with NO DRINK. And don't get me started on the supposed director Jazmine, who disregarded any of my complaints and offered no apology or solution. I'm glad there was no solution to be had. First let me say my child no longer attends this horrible facility. Go through and read the one star reviews are all correct. Horrible management and staff. You are paying for overpriced babysitters. No teaching, teachers are not trained and are not fit to be teachers AT ALL. For example you have an app to be able to communicate with your child's teacher, well I wrote the teacher several times regarding an issue with my child that I saw via the camera and do you think I got a response no. I looked on the camera to just see the teachers on their phone huddled and laughing and speaking with one another. THANK GOD FOR THE CAMERAS as proof. This place is the pits..You are paying $1100.00 a month for the cameras, which you still cant view outside or if they are in other classrooms..They learn absolutely nothing at all..The "babysitters" are very sweet,young, inexperienced and I'm sure u der paid for what we paid for our kids to go there. The owners dont even live in the state Alabama..The director is a JOKE she has no clue what's going on,will lie to cover her own skin, and quick to throw her employees under the bus!..The only thing I enjoyed was camera access when they were in the classroom and the free coffee.. read more
