We worked with her consistently 2 times a week and our daughter's progress was not only tangible as a parent, but Katherine backed up all of her sessions with both qualitative and quantitative reporting so that we could fully understand where our daughter continued to struggle and the areas that she was excelling. Katherine held quarterly meetings with us to review our daughter's progress which allowed us to establish very clear goals. Our work with Katherine evolved and as our daughter met her goals, it shifted into pre-literacy work. We recently 'graduated' from speech because our daughter has continued to progress and is a confident and happy 2nd grader! Katherine and our daughter have a very sweet bond. During the pandemic, when we were meeting by Zoom, our daughter was always so happy to see Katherine. Katherine was able to keep her focused but also was so playful with her. I didn't get a glimpse into her in-person speech sessions with our daughter, but when they met by Zoom, I was able to truly understand the incredible gift that Katherine has with children. We feel so lucky that Katherine helped to shape our daughter and put her on a path to confidence in school and socially with her friends.

I found most adult testing to be over $2000 easy. I got on FB and K C Speech Professionals Ad showed up. I called. Dr. Amy explained the process I understandably. I could tell she would provide the type of care I was looking for. The first visit was over 3 hours of testing. She communicates throughout the process and has a follow up appointment. She helps navigate and helps with equipment, all for $500. I was blessed to find her.

First, they tried to ignore severe pain and muscle spams due to nerve damage in my hip that…read moreoccurred during my knee replacement surgery as "a little soreness after surgery." I had to force the issue of effectively treating the situation and it still took them 10 days before they bothered to do the correct treatment that should have been done on postop day 2. This borders on malpractice. Secondly, when I was asked, I told them that I expected to be walking without a cane after surgery. I had been forced to use a cane for about 5-6 years prior to surgery due to safety concerns and the need to preserve what I could of being able to use the knee. My expectation of being able to walk normally was completely ignored. Instead, when I tried to walk without the cane, I was told to keep using the cane. This continued throughout my entire time in rehab. Somehow they thought that using the cane was going to help me be able to walk without it. Even I don't think that's right!! This means that I couldn't really walk when they decided to dismiss me from their care. They didn't care about getting to the correct place; all they cared about was that I could stand and waddle around a little with the cane. That is not good rehabilitation. It is coming up on a year since my surgery and I still cannot walk normally because they never appropriately addressed the problems in my hips that were caused by the use of the cane. Basically they expected me to figure it out on my own. I am going to have to go to a different doctor (not one who is part owner of this facility) and a different PT place in order to get proper medical care. I find that disgusting. I will never recommend this PT facility to anyone. At this point I am unsure if I will ever be able to return to my sport. They do not care about performance. Do they even know what that word means? They only care about money.

I don't feel shushed. Etc etc etc. There's a reason why they have such a good reputation.
