If I could give this school 10 stars, I would! We joined Childtime and instantly fell in love with the staff, teachers, and director. Both Nicole, the Director and Nikole, the manager are fantastic, and our little boy thrived in the preschool class with Ms. Evelyn. She is truly a gift--so hands-on and dedicated. Our son learned so much from her, and it was clear how much she genuinely loves her students. When he transitioned to the TK program with Ms. Carmen, I was a little nervous because he was so attached to Ms. Evelyn. But Ms. Carmen exceeded our expectations! She took amazing care of our child and ran an exceptional program. Every day, he'd come home talking about how much he loved Ms. Carmen, his class, and school in general. The school is clean, organized, and communicative. I especially loved the app they use to keep parents updated. The only reason we left was that our son aged out and became eligible for a charter school. We're so sad to leave but so grateful for the incredible experience. We will definitely return for drop-ins during summer breaks. Thank you to everyone who made our time there so wonderful. wanted to let everyone know who is thinking about taking your child to childtime..... please think again. from the outside this place looks great. as far for the main teacher that i dealt with miss judy is a terrible employee don't leave your kid with this woman. if they are not doing exactly what they say every minute they are there they will single your child out. multiple times did I see my daughter crying on camera as well as not giving her the food that all the other children were eating as a punishment. when I would bring her in and when I would pick her up, she was never happy at this place usually crying As much as I tried to work with the teacher the manager of the facility they made me and my child feel like a problem. doing things like yelling at me in front of the children because my daughter would not come inside in a timely manner or not taking her bed sheets off. basically everyday i dropped her off with a heavy heart because i needed to work but knew she was not being treated like a baby she was barely two and they wanted her to act like she was 5 already. all in all please do not subject yourself to or your child to this experience. there are many other options that are more affordable and actually care. i took my daughter to a new daycare and they greet me with a smile, pick my daughter up and bring her to her friends they have truly let my daughter blossom and also has helped almost get fully potty trained within the year she has been there... all in all go somewhere else these people don't care read more

I love this place! We started here about 4 weeks ago, and my daughter (10 months) has been so much happier than her old daycare! I know it seems odd, given her age, but she truly has been a happier baby since coming here. It's clean, the staff is all really nice, you can access the cameras for the room your child is in to see what they're doing, if they're napping, etc. All activities get tracked in the app. They offer food (breakfast, snacks, and lunch) every day if you want it. They will upload photos of your child into your app. You can pay through there. Payments are weekly, but you can sign up for auto-pay. Everything so far has been great. read more

My 3yo has been attending childtime for a year now. We love the school, the teachers and the curriculum. My daughter loves going to daycare and has learned so much since she has been here. The teachers (Mrs.Judy, Mrs. Audrey and Mrs. Abby) in the twos room are great communicators and have taken great care of her. My 6mo old was enrolled here as well around 2mo of age. I have also been very pleased with the care she has been given in the infant room. They use the Brightwheel app for their students so I am able to view pictures and see updates about feedings, diapers and naps in real time throughout the day. We are a military family and Mrs. Janice the owner was very helpful in assisting us with the NACCRRA paperwork for our daughter. I loved this place! After being turned down by so many preschools because of my daughter's fragile skin, they welcomed her with open arms. My daughter will start Kindergarten next year, and is already putting words together, and showing positive behaviors that have been modeled for her. Things you will love: -The facility is in a great neighborhood, there's always parking, very clean inside and out, and very friendly staff. -The camera monitoring system makes it easy to watch how your child acts when you are not around, and provides more supervision. - There's an online app that gives you updates through out of your child's day to day activities. With this app, teachers can communicate with you and sometimes share photos of the day's activities. -The best part is that they really know you and your child, you're not just a number. I've never been mom shamed by them because I forgot a toy, brought the wrong snack, or forgot her nap blankets. They are very understanding. read more

Unfortunately we had a bad experience with childtime. Our daughter entered the twos late Feb with teacher Miss Judy. Miss Judy immediately did not take a great liking to our daughter because she was having difficulty adjusting. As time went on Miss. Judy grew more frustrated and impatient with our daughter which led to her writing incidents reports when our 2 years didn't take her bedding off. When we tried to work with Miss Judy she yelled at us on several occasions. We called a meeting with the director Nikole and she did NOTHING to assist the situation. Things grew worse when we starting watching the cameras and notice signs that our daughter was being neglected. They would leave our daughter on her bed and not allow her to eat her snack if she didn't take her bedding off. Several times they left our 2 year old to cry on the floor over an hour with no intervening. No efforts were EVER made to try new approaches to help our girl adjust. She was sick for 3 months had 5 trips to docs because they DO NOT PROPERLY CLEAN! We have left our first experience with childcare heartbroken and traumatized from the way we were treated by the staff at childtime. I expressed concern to Nikole that the lack of patience Miss Judy has and her temper when upset is concerning not to mention withholding food from a baby. She did not care.We have left this school and with a 2 year old who is traumatized NOT A SAFE Environment DO NOT BRING YOUR KIDS HERE. read more

I believe daycare and school quality is dependent on the individual teaching staff who work directly with my child. For a year and a half in the infant and toddler rooms I had a great experience at this location. Susan in the toddler room is a star. The director Janice seems really into her position as boss in a chair, based on observations of how she treats her staff and rarely wishes to interact with parents. Maybe she's good at some things, but social genuineness is lacking. PS: Reviewer Kati M. sent me several belligerent private messages defending the director where she called me an a**hole, made uninformed and negative assumptions about my personality, and generally weakened my faith in the human race, all because I was critical of the director's genuineness. I had my son at this school for 2 years. The facility was always clean and the staff was friendly. We absolutely loved Gary, Sue and Susan. They are all excellent, caring teachers and I always felt my child was in good hands. The administration staff, Vera and Janice, are great as well. Very accommodating and willing to answer any questions you may have. One "con" would be the few staff members that don't carry themselves the best they should when on/off duty. A couple weeks ago one of the infant room staff members, in uniform, was smoking by her car at a Jack in the Box near by. For an excellent school, it's important that all staff upholds the same moral values, at least in uniform. read more

I love this place. My son is very happy in his class. This place has wonderful teachers and director. My son is a shy little boy and he has been in this place since he was 2 year old. His teachers helped him to come out of his shell and engage him in different activities. I need to say that I tried another preschool in another state, althouth the fee was the same, the quality of care was uncomparable. Childtime is one of the best. Not impressed!! I am looking for a preschool for my 3 yo son and we made an appointment through their website and we drove all the way down and were met by the director who was very nice but explained that the website lets people book times at anytime and she wasn't aware that we were coming. She gave us information but refused a tour, which was fine. But I made another trip out during the times that the director had told me. I was created by a lady I think her name was Nicole, she was judging me the second I walked in. She asked if he was potty trained and I said he would be and she said really rudely, they have to be FULLY POTTY TRAINED NO ACCIDENTS! I explained hat he was but we just moved and he kinda regressed back and it wouldn't be an issue and she was just really rude about it. When the directed had told me they would work with me. Then she rudely said looking at my son with his pacifier in his mouth and NO PACIFIERS while I was filling out the form. I said he only has it during nap time and sometimes in the car and she said NOPE NOT AT ALL!! Ok, so I understand places have rules and policies for a reason it was just how she said it and I felt like my son and I were being judged. That I was being judged for having a 3 yo son with a pacifier. I just left and said I don't think this would be a good fit for us because he needs certain things for comfort, it being the first time he is away from me and his brothers... it was just cold the way she said it and I don't want to take my son anywhere where he will be a nuisance to anyone working... she didn't say a single word to my 3 year old standing there as I filled out the form!! The directed was very nice and very friendly to my son as to my husband and I. This lady NICOLE was very RUDE, COLD, and very condescending and I DID NOT APPRECIATE mad to feel less because my son has a pacifier, he just turned 3 years old and we just did a big relocation. Compassion would be nice from someone working the front desk especially someone around children!! Also, this place is VERY EXPENSIVE COMPARED TO OTHERS IN COMPARISON! We just moved here. Checked out several different pre schools prior to moving. We loved this one. Our son loves it. Didn't want to leave. It's bright and cheerful. Closed door concept for classrooms. They have a chef onsite that cooks for the kids. Everyday he ask to go to school to see his teachers and play with the kids. Best of all they have a precious status app that gives you updates on what your child is doing, how much he ate, and activities for the day. I feel better when I go to work because I know what's going on. read more

We have had our 2.5 year old daughter with Childtime since she was 15 weeks old. The experience has been amazing. Each of her teachers have shown so much care and she has developed into such a helpful and smart little girl. Working parents have the stress and fear of leaving their children in the care of others, the experience here has removed that stress. It is a strict and structured environment, which was important to us. It is clean, organized and run very well by the staff. I cannot say enough great things about Childtime! My children both started at Childtime at 6 months old. My son is now in the private Kinder class and we could not be happier with the academics. The Director Janice knows all of the families and is invested in providing the best care to her staff and the children. The classrooms are clean, safe, and the teachers send updates several times a day via the app including photos. We absolutely LOVE the teachers and many of them have been at Childtime for 10 + years. The low staff turnover is a great indication of what a positive and fun environment it is to work in. Childtime came highly recommended by a few people and it's obvious why. We have had an amazing experience. We enrolled our little girl after being in a small home day care for almost 3 years. She adjusted well with the loving help of many of the teachers. They were compassionate when she was upset and lifted her spirits in the short time it took her to adjust. The director is delightful and always answers/returns my calls. The assistant director has been amazing as well. I can't say enough great things about the teachers. They communicate when important to do so and are always willing to answer questions. I always trust their judgement and am confident that they are providing the best care and education for my little girl. Childtime has been an excellent preschool experience for our two-year-old. There are a lot of activities and there is plenty of supervision. The constant updates we receive by text are awesome! Ms Maria and the staff here are amazing. My daughter feels so much love and flourishes here. I love that they are bilingual and will teach her not only about ABC but about friendships, responsibility, and culture. They see the potential in all the kids and really work to bring that out. They are willing to work through struggles such as potty training without giving up hope. My daughter tells me each day she leaves "I had so much fun today" and begin to tell me about her art projects and what she learned such as about bugs etc. love this place. read more

Like many child care its EXPENSIVE....and this place isn't cheap But when looking for a school/childcare for my child I look at safety, environment and just a great staff, and here at Child time they meet and exceed all my expectations. I decided to choose childtime for my 17 month old son to attend. They told me they had a available spot so I made my mother go and start the enrollment process since they only had one spot available. There was a advertisement saying they accept cda and other services which I needed since I'm a single mom due to my son father being deceased. Well for starters the director was rude to my mother and told her that there was another family who paid for the spot but they didn't have their paperwork ready, my paperwork and payment was right there when my mom came to enroll my son but she said she didn't receive it (which she didn't check) which was then understandable after her receptionist/assistant told me that the family paying out of pocket basically comes first! I was so disgusted and upset I didn't even feel comfortable having my son there after the directors vibe towards my mother and when I called! So for future mothers that receive aid or help! Looks elsewhere because if there is someone paying cash out of pocket they're going to accept them first! Not so friendly establishment afterall ‍ read more

I have to say, this school is top notch. When my wife and I toured the different preschools & private kindergartens in town, none held a candle to Childtime. For starters, the school is always clean, even at the end of the day before the janitors come, it is clean. We have gone there for well over a year now, and I can easily say it is always organized & clean. Secondly, Ms. Janice runs a very tight ship, which I definitely appreciate, and keeps an awesome, well-qualified staff. Ms. Nikole is super friendly and always so helpful with any request or needs we have for our daughter. The teachers, Ms. Stephanie, Ms. Crystal, & Mr. Nick, are amazing, they truly care about the kids & develop a relationship with them. Our daughter blows us away randomly at home, and it's with things she has learned from her teachers and the staff at Childtime. She raves about her food made by their "on-site chef" Ms. Silvia, who my 5 year old says "hooks her up". The education, level of care, and attention to your child's needs are top notch. As I read other reviews complaining about cost, attitudes, or not being able to tour at certain times, I'm sorry, but you get what you pay for, and quite frankly your child should get the most you can provide. Also, common sense should tell you, if you're looking into touring a school for your child, you should call first with initial questions (so you don't waste your time if there are deal breakers right away), which would then double as you confirming your touring visit time if you booked online. The staff here is more than accommodating, and very friendly. My daughter is always excited for Mondays, to go see her friends & teachers. I live BEHIND this day care at and I am saying this because I am concerned. I literally can see and hear everything as I live directly behind this place and I urge parents to spy and hear this for themselves. They scream at these children and make them cry on almost a daily basis. They argue with them and taunt them then turn around and yell at them for crying. Today they are yelling at one little boy for not playing baseball the way they want ..he is playing the way he is wanting to enjoy himself. I couldn't take it anymore and felt I NEEDED to be a voice for them. Their roles as a "baby sitter" is NOT to parent but is to treat them and care for them as a humane person should do so. I would never ever put my child in this place and this really makes me aware of what really goes on "behind closed doors." Please be very careful of where you place your children and remember that the outside isn't always what goes on in the inside. read more

We moved to this area a few years back and enrolled our son who was 2 at the time in this school. I felt it was important to share our experience with others as to this day it still bothers me. For the first time in his life, he started lashing out at other children within 2 days of being at this school. Previously, we were in a very nice daycare in our previous home before moving here to Oceanside. In calling the school to check on my son, the Director answered the phone and transferred me to my sons teacher. I asked her how my son was doing. She said he is doing okay today. I asked if it would be feasible to give him an extra snack in the afternoon since he was having a hard time adjusting. Possibly, he was hungry and needed to eat. She said she would need to ask the Director. She put the phone on "hold" well it never went on hold. I got to hear everything. The teacher was scared to speak to the Director as the Director spoke down to the teacher stating.."Why does every parent think their child is hungry when they are just misbehaving?" Suddenly, the Director realized the phone was not hung up and hung it up. I called back and confronted the Director. She was very apologetic...needless to say my child no longer attended that school moving forward. The Corporate Office called with apologies and providing refunds. For anyone with children attending this school, please think about what happens behind the scenes. There are other posts on here which support my comments. read more

We happened to live close by which made Childtime our first stop when looking for daycare. I was impressed right off the bat. I find the security of the facility to be reassuring. It is always clean no matter what time you arrive. Our child has been there since 6 months old. The faculty is top notch. There has been quite a bit of turn over, but the people they find always have the greatest heart for our kid. My child is excited to go to the school every day, knows the teachers by heart and speaks fondly of them and classmates when home with us. I can't begin to tell you how much of a blessing it is to have people who love our child and want to build each child up. I feel our kid is growing and learning so fast. The food is made fresh on site every day and there is always a thoughtful art project to take home. Going on two years and can't imagine being anywhere else, and honestly have no complaints. read more

My son has been at this childtime since he was 4 months old (at the time of writing this he is almost 2) and i couldn't be happier. They are so loving, nurturing, communicative, and caring. All of the staff are amazing. He learns so much, both intellectually and socially. From day 1 i have felt at ease and that means so much to me. In addition, it is a very clean and welcoming center. I would highly recommend this center to anyone looking for childcare or preschool.
