I am on the fence because I want this to be so good, i.e. presentation, service, quality, etc. Well let's start with I drove up about 5:30 and about 3 people ahead of me that had already ordered. The customer service was 0/10. The young lady was spicy, no warmth and basically looked at me like I was getting on her nerves! I placed my order and waited. Lettuce wrapped double cheeseburger with fries. I ate the fries as I drove home and a few were fresh hot but most were lukewarm. Burger presentation was not like other pictures posted and hate when I get the but end of the tomato! I digressed and took a nice bite. Fresh, messy and good but a bit salty. The burger was dressed with half butt tomato, grilled onions which I loved and cheese with some sauce, not sure if it was ketchup but okay. Overall the burger IS good because it's not the frozen patties most places use but doubtful I will return. The lettuce portion could have been better. Waited an hour on a Saturday night. Ordered a hamburger and a taco trio with pork, chicken,and shrimp. I wanted to get a torta, they said they didn't have the stuff. I said how bout a quesadilla... no. Not sure why they didn't have some of those things but its OK. Hour later, like I said,.. got the food. Smelled delicious on the way home. Hamburger was very very tasty but extremely greasy! Tacos were a big ok. The red and green sauces were actually very disappointing.. tasting like straight up raw peppers juiced. Great mexican food truck on Mt Mariah. Staff is friendly but you will need to take home or eat in your car, there is no seating or tables. I have not tried any of the mexican food yet because ITS THE BEST BURGER IN THE CITY!! Hands down the best. Go and get the burger, they are amazing! Chances of me eating at this place aren't really high. The burrito it was overly salted and the chicken was either overly salted or seasoned, point is the food did not taste good. Could it be good? Yes, yes, YESSSS! I learned that the key to a GREAT taco is a corn tortilla & salsa verde when I was in college. Chile Verde GOT IT RIGHT! The seasoning of their chicken was perfection and I love how potent their sauces are. They have so many sauces to choose from so try a different one every time if you'd like. They have so many other things on their menu, but three tacos was all I needed! Their prices are wonderful & you just have to park as if you're getting gas, but it's no problem. read more

What can I say? The hype is real... for the cheeseburger that is. Although I'm not a huge burger fan and therefore I cannot judge whether this is the greatest burger ever or just basic, I will say the portion and price was awesome. I got a huge double cheeseburger with bacon and fries for 8.99. You can get a quad for 9.99. Bacon is $1 extra. Oh, I tried tacos too. They are 99 cents on Taco Tuesday. But I think I'm one of the 10 ppl in the world who don't really care for tacos. So again, can't really judge. I'll go back to try some other Mexican specialties. read more

Man, I hate to do this. Has Chile Verde three or so years ago. I think it was a chimichanga of sorts. It was great. Not passably good, but damned freakin' great. Then, I made a return. Years later. Like, today. Had the burrito verde. It was a downgrade of epic proportions. Not so much burrito as it was a casserole. Watery, diluted, almost pasta like. Food trucks are popping up all over the city, so I thought I'd take a shot not knowing when I'd get another chance for lunch. The woman taking orders was patient walking me through the menu. They have a wide selection of menu items, from tacos to burritos to enchiladas. I ordered three chicken tacos with cheese, poco de gallo, lettuce, tomato and sour cream. It was ready in five minutes. It cost about $10. It's CASH ONLY. They have a cooler with all kinds of sauces, from salsa to an avocado mix. I like pulled chicken in my tacos, but this chicken is cut into chunks. It had a good flavor. Was hoping the chicken would be a tad more tender. In retrospect, I would have ordered just two tacos. The reason I didn't give this four stars was too much sour cream overpowering the whole experience. If you're desperately hungry while driving along the southeast loop of I-240, it may be worth a try during daylight hours. read more

With new staff and new menu the wait time was double usual (20+ min) and the burrito was wet and mushy with very little chicken, 90% rice and overwhelmingly salty. The burger was flat grey with none of the usual char grilled flavor and built upside down the vegetables on the bottom for some reason. I hope they were just having an off day. read more

They trend mild-ish so if youre spice-hound don't shy from the very hot verde (my favorite) or even the thin "extremely hot" sauce. $2 Tacos are traditional small size.. 4-5" two bite tortillas topped with ~2oz of meat. I was debating on whether I should give this one or two stars but we'll see. I came to this taco truck with my boyfriend and since there are more reviews from 2015 than anything we were wondering if they were still open. We got there and decided to order. He got the mango water drink and a chicken burger and fries, and I got the quesadilla. After ordering, is where it went down. We didn't have anyone in front of us and the food took SO long. I never in my life have waited over 20 minutes for a food truck when I'm the only order? They have sauces outside in a cooler and when I opened the cooler a bunch of flies came out. Now to the food, my quesadilla was alright but it tasted like pure garlic. I love garlic but it was so strong that the taste was in my mouth even after I brushed my teeth plenty of times. When I tried my boyfriend's mango drink I almost spit it out. It wasted like old, fermented, left out mango that they decided to blend up. It was really bad and we only took a couple of sips from it. I didn't have a good experience here and the food was more expensive then it should've been. Maybe things have gone down but there was a couple that showed up right after us and they were still waiting for their food even as we were leaving. I don't know if the quality of this food truck went down since 2015 or if they stopped caring but hopefully, they start changing so they can become better again. read more
