The four is for the food. Service seemed a little abrupt initially but did get warmer. Lovely cosy spot. Shared some prawn crackers. The sweet chilli sauce had a nice kick but they also give you some chilli flakes if you want some extra spice. The sesame prawn toast was delicious and I really enjoyed the green curry with chicken. Fantastic! Luckily we got to be in Dublin long enough to deviate from the pub food that we loved and try this cozy Thai place. It was our best meal. We ordered the prix fixe pad thai and prawns in red curry. The pad thai was even better than our all-time favorite place for pad thai: Pagan, in San Francisco. My friend raved about this place when she went there with a group and so we met up for food here. Tucked away, but in the centre of town this Thai restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. It's an intimate setting and it's quite small (so you have to book on busy nights). The staff and really welcoming and accommodating. The food is Thai and there are some options for an early bird price before 7.30. While not explicitly stated in the menu they're quite open to making the dishes vegetarian and substituting tofu or veg for the meat in the dish. The food is really very good. It's tasty and flavoursome and there's plenty of it, but it doesn't leave you with the bloated feeling. They serve everything on these lovely matching crockery and if you're the kind of person who goes for little details you might find yourself noticing the cutlery as well. This place loses a star though for desserts (I just can't give a 5 star review to a restaurant that doesn't do good desserts - personal policy!). They do have desserts, which is unusual for a Thai place, but I didn't enjoy mine - although perhaps I just ordered the wrong thing, other ones looked nicer! Three courses plus tea/coffee set us back about 25 euro each on the early bird, so it was reasonable but not too cheap, but I'll certainly be going back. read more

Went here for the first time and had the best Tom Kah soup ever! Their chefs are from Thailand and they've been in business for 30 years. I will definitely be back. So much more on their menu to try and if it's half as good as this soup, it's my new favorite Thai place. read more

Slightly odd experience. Rather bored waiter welcomed us and sat us down. Then disappeared. Menu was conventional. Music was far too loud for circumstances and room size. When I asked him to turn it down so we could talk he made an adjustment that was imperceptible. Food was adequate but nothing above average. Would not return. read more

This is a great little lunch spot. They have a lunch menu where you get to choose an appetizer and a main course 15€. I ordered the chicken satay appetizer and green curry chicken for the main course. I enjoyed both. The chicken satay was nice and crispy and had a great peanut sauce. The green curry chicken had some good spice to it. read more

I went here twice and I really want to come back. Perferct little place for a quick work lunch or for a romantic dinner. The yellow curry was delicious :) really fruity and well spicy. Lunch meal by 11 eur in a fancy place in the city center. Perfect! read more

Cracking Thai food. We had dinner here on Wednesday night, a party of three, started with Larb Gai, spicy minced chicken with mint and coriander, delicious fresh zingy, really good. For main I had Gaeng Masaman Neur, and when i was offered the opportunity to spice it up to "Thai Hot", I grabbed that opportunity. It was great, initially very hot but then started to pick up the other fresh flavours of the dish, wonderful main course. I drank cold beer with the meal my colleagues drank an Alsatian Reisling which was well thought of. Super meal, very nice attentive staff. Try it. read more

Went with a work group for dinner - the staff were attentive and the food was fine and enjoyed by all but there's no wow factor here! The wine list needs a freshen up and a bit more variety: 3 Sauvignon Blancs amongst the whites ?? Okay if you like Sauvignon Blanc but hey there's a lot more choice of grape out there. read more

I went there on a date back at the end of March and it happened to be the Dine in Dublin week. This meant 25 euros for a 3 course meal, if I remember correctly. As a massive fan of Thai food, I was really looking forward to trying this place. The place was perfect: cosy room, non-agressive decor, lovely staff. The biggest table was for 4 people so I don't recommend this place for groups or families - it's too small. As for the food: - the starters were plentiful but a bit on the fatty side, - the main course was huge and I wish I could have finished it but the starters had me feeling rather full already; I had the the duck red curry. - dessert was disappointing: some sort of chilled chocolate cream, without enough punch to it to satisfy the chocoholic that I am. I would go again in order to try different dishes and see if their soups are as good as in Baan Thai... read more

I took my mum here for dinner on Mothers Day and it was the first time I had been to this restaurant. I was well impressed with it and will definitely be going back. The decor is beautiful, the staff lovely and most importantly the food is really delicious. We got the early bird menu, which was 2 courses and plenty of food, there was a good variety to choose from and it was very reasonably priced, about €16 I think. We also had a couple glasses of a really nice prosecco with the dinner and as it was Mothers Day my mum's was on the house....what more can you ask for! read more

I must say,I was very disappointed with this restaurant. I expected to find a small, nice, cosy Thai with an amazing food, cause Let's face it, it's not cheap. I've been a fan of Thai cuisine years now and I have also recently visited Thailand. This place did not offer any different dish from the usual, basic concept. Pad Thai we had was swimming in the fish sauce and tasted like a wet dog hair. For a starter we had a 'chili club selection ', which turned out to be a selection of 6 one-biters. The waitress was really nice and friendly so I give the points for that, but the rest was just disappointing. We were also unlucky and got the worst table in the restaurant, the one directly in front of the entrance, so we had people standing next to the table all the time. Not worth the hassle read more

Upstairs in their small room celebrating birthday last night. There was fifteen of us and room is little tight but lovely to have all to yourself. Ordered off set menu 26 euro for three courses. This is definitely worth a visit! Opens every day at 6, and there's a really good early bird menu during the week, where you can add dessert for just 2.50! The rice is superb, the food is the perfect temperature, and the portions are generous. There are spice-ratings on each of the menu items, but I wouldn't be too scared. On the downside, the small size means that the atmosphere is dependent on the particular crowd. I've seen it with large groups, and with 100% couples. However it's always got a romantic feel! Another minor gripe is that there doesn't seem to be anyone to say goodbye to you... you just slink out when your meal is finished, which feels odd for such a small place. Other pointers... you can peek in while having a look at the menu, you really need to book in advance to be sure of a table no matter what night, and you need to knock on the door to be let in. read more
