The repair price was definitely competitive. At one other house in Illinois that I lived in, that air conditioner needed a new capacitor and the guy told us that the whole unit needed to be replaced. So when I hear someone tell me the truth that only the capacitor needs to be changed, it strikes me as an honest person. Just about a month ago, our gas furnace heater was not turning on. We had one guy come out and told me that I needed a specific part, and I went to Lubbock to get it. That part did not fix the issue. Then I called another company out, and they told me that I needed a different part and wanted me to go to Lubbock to get it. That's about $20 in gas round-trip. When I called Quality out, the same guy came out and told me that I needed the same part as the previous guy, but Quality went and got the part themselves. This was a relatively major repair and the cost seemed fair. I highly recommend Quality Air Heating & Air Conditioning.

This…read morebusiness in Plainview, we bought a house in Lubbock, that has a system installed in Nov 2022 (only 7 months till current date), called them multiple times and every single time was terible and disgusting interaction. The first time the system was not running, Larry, complained and blamed construction company, which might be true. The second time we called because there was not sufficient cooling in part of the house, we called and asked if they could do an estimate, they again blamed construction even though there is no construction anymore. Larry refused to come out to have a look because it is too far and said he would only do it if it we pay him $85/h for 2 hours of driving and how many hours of working. I got other companies took a look and they all agreed that the design was flawed, there is not enough supply and return to that part of the house. Worse, when Quality Air installed it, they got the supply line in a larger duct compared to the return line. Last incident, just yesterday July 2023, only 8 months after the installation, the hvac stopped blowing cold air. We called them, Larry again complained about it might be dust and construction. However, he still did come out. Turned out it was a blown compressor. Larry did not really care to give a quote on replacing the compressor and just said he did this job (install the hvac) for a friend (the previous owner) so he has no obligation any more. He said there is no labor warranty on the system. Again, this is only 7 months after installation. This would be our last interaction with them. The worst thing on all of this is the unprofessionalism, continuing blaming of contruction while it was not true any more and the complains about having to drive too far. We were always courteous when we called yet every time Larry called, it was all about construction causing too much dust, too far away, etc. No professionalism whatsoever. First, after 2 months, the tech from Thornton came to fix our AC, I could see him outside in the heat repairing the unit, he even stayed overtime to finish. Then my garbage disposal stopped working, I hadn't used it since I avoided everything because of the heat. We tried to fix it but only succeeded sending brackish water to the dishwasher. I got some good feedback on how to clean that mess up too. I would day Bruce Thornton runs a great company and has quality personnel. If I ever get a house I will be calling them for support.

I was informed that while I was at work, Mr. Ben showed up to my house while my fiancé was home alone and the manner on how he approached her was already strange to begin with. While she was in the back yard she noticed Ben walking through the alley and come into back gate, he stated that he was here to check out the neighbors AC unit that just so happened to be in our backyard. She told him that was fine and let him in the back gate to our yard and stated that she was going to head inside and that is where the interaction between the two of them SHOULD have stopped. Forcing my fiancé into conversation, Ben proceeds to go into personal details about about his life informing her that he is either currently going through or fixing to go through a divorce with his wife trying to make it very well known that he is single. Along with this, he goes into specifics about everything he owns from a nice truck and trailer to how's he a very nice guy yada yada yada. At this point, this is beyond inappropriate and Mr. Ben should know this considering he gets paid to go household to house hold and should know what professional etiquette means. By now my fiancé is feeling beyond uncomfortable and awkward with the entire situation and is sending me text messages asking me to please hurry home from work and mind you at this moment I'm unfamiliar with everything that's been going on other than the fact that she feels uncomfortable. Everything stated above was filled in to fit the timeline from before I got home and learned after I got home. What I did personally witness was when I pulled into my driveway, I saw Ben walking out from under my carport and exiting my back gate. To my surprise when I walk in the door I see a lovely note that Mr. Ben personally hand wrote and left for little ol' me between my storm door and front door (I can only assume it was left for me because why else would Mr.Ben feel the need to talk to my Fiancé about an air conditioner that belongs to the neighbor). I later learned this note was placed there after Mr. Ben kept closing the distance that my fiancé was trying to establish by walking backward towards the door only to have Ben take a step forward to match it! She stated that when she was eventually able to get into the door, Ben FINALLY after about 10 minutes of making her feel uncomfortable went into the backyard to "check" on the neighbors A/C unit (Considering the fact he was back there less than a minute leads me to believe that he wasn't here to really work on anything or at least anything that involved being inside my fence). She said that she couldn't help but peer out the peep hole in hopes he would quickly finish the job and leave. "Quickly finish" he did, and instead of seeing him leave, she sees persistent Mr.Ben come out of the back yard walk straight up to the door, stand there for a few minutes (which seeing from inside the house through the peep hole scared the hell out of her), open our storm door, close it and then leave. Luckily, she refused to walk back outside until I arrived so I was the fortunate one to receive the note which contained the lucky 10 digits in how to get ahold of Mr. Ben and a cute little note that says "If you ever want to talk call me!!" With the double use of exclamation points which tells me he is very eager to talk to me! So you can understand how upset I was to call only to be sent to voicemail. I got a new heating and air conditioning unit and went ahead and had my hot water heater replaced because it was very old. I got a new hot water heater, a new heating and air conditioning unit, a new thermostat and a new friend in Nugent. It is now the end of January and I have had no problems with anything that they did for me. I am still I'll but I am warm. I will never use anybody except for Nugent mechanical and I suggest to anybody needing help with the services they provide to call them first. You will be happy about choosing Nugent. It is now Wednesday (June 1st) in the afternoon and we just had a contractor call to come fix the AC. He was unprofessional, blamed the rental company and short with me. I told him we no longer needed him as by the grace of God, another contractor with the same company had already come out Monday since we had an inside contact with and old property manager who was able to get the contractor out to fix the AC in what literally took 10 minutes (capacitor). The contract on the phone this afternoon blamed them being short staffed, behind and having only one technician working on the holiday. Appliances don't take holidays so that was unacceptable. Would not recommend this company as they clearly lack customer services, resources, and care for customers. Thank God we only went 1.5 days without AC in this triple digit heat which otherwise would have been 4 days!! DO NOT USE NUGENT.
