I'm so happy to have trusted positive reviews from other people on Yelp and decided to make the hour and a half scenic drive on a beautiful sunny day to find unique Native American jewelry at this shop. The place is small but don't let that fool you because it was packed with showcases holding beautiful jewelry. We lucked out being the only people there and meeting Dan the owner and his friendly chihuahua dog Guido. We enjoyed fantastic service from Dan who was very passionate and knowledgeable about his business. Even though I have tiny wrists and fingers, Dan suggested bracelets and rings that could fit me. While we browsed over the vast array of jewelry (he also sells paintings, pottery, beaded belts, dolls, etc), Dan worked on sizing the pieces I picked out and within minutes had them done. The tourists season doesn't start until June and because he needed to make room for new inventory that comes from Indian reservations in states like New Mexico, Utah, and Arizona, Dan offered us some generous deals on prices. I love collecting turquoise rings and I usually try to buy one when I go to new places. This store was right down the road where we were staying. They were very friendly, helpful and the store was clean. They had some sales going on and made me a great deal on the pieces that I picked out! A wonderful shop with incredible people and products! The owner is extremely knowledgeable, as it is his employee who works with him. They are both incredibly friendly as well. The jewelry is absolutely beautiful! I feel the prices are fair, considering the excellent quality. There are so many things to choose from, if you don't find at least three or four things you fall in love with, I would be shocked. We found far more than that! The service we received once we decided on a piece was also stellar. It is a 2 1/2 hour trip from our home, and we would come up here again just for this experience. This store is the best kept secret of the greater Manitou Springs area. Dan has some of the most amazing artifacts of Native American jewelry and clothing I've ever seen, at super prices. I originally went to the store to get a bolo tie for my husband, but ended up buying a doeskin beaded fringe cape, a long Navajo woolen coat, plus a set of Indian Head and Buffalo Nickel buttons (the real thing). Dan is super to deal with! Each time I've gone, I ended up spending three hours looking at everything. Many of the pieces could be in museums and are hard to find. Dan knows about each one. thought the owner was great when my family and i bought a ring. i liked it so much i wore it for the wedding on saturday after we bought it, (this was our destination wedding) . i had two stones ended up falling out by the end of the wedding. and i was unable to return (since was my wedding day) and Sunday they were closed so Monday am before our flight i went to return , by then all the stones had fallen out!!! he would not help with repairing or replacing or anything. was not the best experience i have ever had with a item issues from a local store! i am very disappointed! i would go any where else for your turquoise or make sure if there is an issue you make a point to return asap (even if your getting married) i HAVE PLENTY OF TURQUOISE JEWELRY , EVEN MY WEDDING BAND IS !!
