Sure, (authentic) Chinese places tend to have not-so-great service (with exceptions), but this place really takes the cake for bad service. They charge per person for the tea here (you don't pay per pot, but rather per cup). My friend wanted to change a cup because it was dirty and had tea stains. The rest of us wanted tap water, and we asked accordingly. We got a waitress to change the tea cup, and when she took the dirty cup / was getting a new cup for my friend, the owner/manager came over and started yelling at us about how the tea is only per person and cannot be shared, etc. I guess he thought we were going to try to use our water cups and pour tea into them, or something like that. We were all taken aback - we didn't want to try to get some free tea, we just wanted water and a clean cup for my friend. We have no idea why the owner guy came over and started yelling at us, but it was rather embarrassing, too. I wouldn't go back to eat there. The selection of hot pot items was good as well, with plenty of meats (beef, pork, prawns, mussels, luncheon meat) and vegetables. There is also a build your own dipping sauce corner with vinegar, onions, garlic, satay, etc. Basically after they bring you your soup base you are left to fend for yourself. Kitchen staff occasionally come out to check on what needs to be restocked, and nothing was ever empty for too long. Value was good too, as we ended up paying £17.25/ person. All in all, a pretty great hot pot experience. Much tastier and better value than London hot pots like Shuang Shuang. Will definitely return if I'm ever visiting Cambridge again!
