Such a cute little Greek restaurant! We walked right in and were immediately seated. The decor was chic and had either booth or table seating. Tap water was brought to the table infused with cucumber. We ordered so much food (I totally forgot to take pictures). The calamari was a good portion and it came with a side of garlic aoli. The tzatziki was soooo fresh and came with a side of pita bread. We ordered the mixed grill and it came with sausage, chicken thighs, lamb chop & kofta over a bed of feta fries (extra charge) with a side salad. Everything was grilled to perfection. I'm from America and this place was probably one the best places I've eaten at in England. My cousin and I ordered a delicious Peinirli Chicken pizza and a Souvlaki Chicken wrap. The people here are so lovely and let our group stay undisturbed until almost 1 am. The group order we pre-submitted was flawlessly executed and served by name. And yet, they had completely miscommunicated about the fixed meal options for large groups and we ended up with our appetizers quite late. Several people enjoyed their food but I thought my lamb shank was too tough and gamey tasting. Service was a bit slow and the wine arrived quite late. read more

Went here wanting some good Greek good and by jove they delivered! We had salmon, seabass and lamb and all of them were knock your socks off delicious. The seabass in particular was cooked in the most scrumptious sauce, and even the basmati rice that was with it was heavenly. Ordered Baklava for dessert, was nothing to write home about, so next time I would probably try something else. Definitely make reservations early since I called on Thursday morning for a Saturday night reservation and I had to have 9pm! So glad that didn't put us off. read more

Contemporary Greek cuisine is a huge pull for me. I love their take on so many classic dishes. The hummus is different to any I've tried, and that is a good thing. As someone who has lived in Greece (and eaten a lot of food) I really like how they have refined the more rustic dishes. The briam is a particular favourite of mine. And though it doesn't quite 'taste like Yaya's,' it really isn't trying to. This is a fantastic place to bring friends, wether they are familiar with Greek food or not. To share in an awesome experience, in a cosy and nostalgic setting that almost pulls you back to the Mediterranean. Best of all - staff are a pleasure to interact with. They've always gone out of their way for us (and we can be awkward guests.) And for the more adventurous, I highly recommend you try a cocktail mixed with metaxa for an extra taste of Greece - or my absolute favourite, masticha! read more

Went for New Year's Eve and would not repeat Service generally slow and hard to get the attention of the three waiters running around the second floor. Three errors in our order: 1) We ordered water to drink, which took too long to come. When it did, it came with mutterings of "sorry, sorry" from the waiter, to which we did not have to say much, because she was right, she was too late. 2) From another waiter, we ordered three starters, but when three arrived, one came wrong, an error. 3) We also ordered one glass of wine, but since it hadn't even come by the end of the starter, we had to call over another waiter and re-order it because it turns out, they had completely forgotten about it. Due to the erroneous starter, and forgetting the wine, we got both on the house. However, on top of the waiters having made mistakes, their treatment of us was terrible, so it did not feel fully rectified. Examples of bad treatment: 1) We didn't recieve an apology for either error. Both times, our server blamed someone else and hurried off. Instead of apologizing on behalf of the restaurant and telling us she would sort it out, we were left at the table after gruff treatment and wondering whether we would get the right dish or the wine at all. 2) Gruff treatment example: the waiter said things like "you've already eaten part of the starter, you may as well finish it" (we ate some of the erroneous starter before noticing it was not what we ordered and stopped eating it) - not the attitude with which to treat a paying customer that was served the wrong dish. When we finally got the correct starter, the waiter made sure to exact the blame on others. Note: never blame others on your team, it makes the restaurant look divided and disfunctional. Just say: "sorry, hope you enjoy the correct starter now, it's on the house". 2) When I called the waiter over to inquire about the missing wine, I said "We ordered wine but we have not received it". To my surprise, she just looked straight at me and waited, and I was forced to follow up with "...Could you please bring it?" The response was: "I did not take that order". Again, the rotten attitude. My thought was: Getting a hold of just one waiter is hard enough, now you want me to remember which of the three took each order and track each down, with their errors, while I sit in this chair? Of course the correct answer is, "I'm very sorry about that, we'll get that over to you immediately"- I am not interested in which of the three, or whether the kitchen made the mistake, present a unified front, work as a team, and figure that out internally. Conclusion: Food okay. Bad service. Not worth it. read more

Nice place if you want someplace semi-elegant to have a quiet meal. Friendly and attentive wait staff, and food authentic Greek. Portions are large so don't order sides, or share a side if you're craving some greens. We had fish - barbouni (bream) and tsipoura (red mullet), both fillets, and both enjoyable but not exciting (seemed like it was just fish, not all that flavorful). Plus the portions were huge. Though the mashed potatoes under the mullet were terrific! As was bougatsa dessert..... With 2 glasses of wine and 2 side salads (don't bother) bill came to a pricey £72. read more

The only negative point of this place is the serving time, which can be close to ridiculous on busy nights. But if you're prepared to wait, you're in for a good selection of seafood, meat and vegetable dishes.
