This one was newly opened and hadn't seemed to have really caught on yet when we went. I was at first let down by the menu that seemed to have the traditional Englishified options of chow mein and what have you, but when I turned the menu over I happily found some more authentic fare. I forget the exact name of what I ordered, but it was a very spicy chicken and noodle dish where the chicken contained bits of bone so there was some deft mouth work involved eat through it. I didn't mind this, having lived in Hong Kong for several years and being much used to the remove-meat-in-mouth-and-spit-out-bone procedure, but consider yourself warned if that's not your idea of a good time. I appreciated that it was authentically spicy, but it couldn't have been more authentically seasoned overall and less oily. I didn't regret my meal and found it decent and filling, but it didn't excite me enough to return.

Everything, from the chicken in black bean sauce through to the asparagus with cashew nuts, is cooked to perfection... And as such, it's no wonder that whenever I drive past on a Friday night the restaurant is always packed! While the restaurant is nothing special in its own right, the food speaks for itself... And, if you're into Chinese food and excellent service, then I'd highly recommend this establishment to you.

Tbf the person I called did warn me they were very similar dishes but I thought what the heck let's try something new and I have to admit we both really didn't like either one. Also the chicken fried rice was very very bland. The hot and sour soup however was delicious. I've ordered from these guys before and it was to a much higher standard then tonight. Start off with the tasty complimentary prawn crackers and a red sauce. The mixed seafood soup was good, not at first, but it grows on you. It's a mix of mussels, shrimp, squid and vegetables. For main course had chicken Sezchuan and Cumin lamb. The odd mushrooms with the Sezchuan sauce was a strange choice that doesn't make sense. And no broccoli. Which for me is fine. I'm with George Bush on this one. The cumin lamb had somewhat of a spice imbalance. Too much cumin powder and too much flour coating. But very flavorful and a large size portion. You dim sum, you lose sum.

I've eaten Chinese food for over 60 years and cooked it for over 30 years. The food that was served looked good but had no taste. We had the seafood sizzling platter, tofu with black bean sauce and the seafood soup. The seafood soup needed more garlic so it had some taste which was also true for the seafood sizzling powder platter. If you want decent Chinese food go elsewhere.
