crispy duck, fried lamb & chicken wings
    Stephanie M.

While staying in Zermatt I was craving asian food and I stumbled upon this gem while looking for food on the maps lol It's kinda hidden - not on the main street; the interior was nice and I was greeted and seated right away by our soon to be server. Started of with hot and sour soup + mushroom soup; it was nice eating it cause it was cold outside. Now for the main entrees. We ordered the crispy duck, chicken wings, calf liver & sautéed lamb. The duck was my favorite because it was so good, like the name says it's crispy, but don't expect it to be juicy which i didn't so my expectations were met, honestly it was so delicious i loved it. The calf liver & lamb kinda tasted the same to me just different textures because they were different meats but the sauce was about the same; it was still delicious though. The crispy chicken wings was delicious as well, just how i like it aka not too coated and salty - it was just perfect. It is on the pricier side but overall i'd say it's worth - just be ready to spend more than usual - oh yeah the portions are not big but they're not too small either.

We had the steamed bass with ginger and leeks, stir fried string beans, and the pork belly slices in Sichuan sauce (aka twice-cooked pork).

My wife spent her childhood in Malaysia and we first visited Tham's restaurant two decades ago before our son was born. We brought our teenage son this time and were excited to discover that Tham is still open in Murren and his food is just as delicious as before! His lovely wife is now working with him in the restaurant and both of them were very friendly and welcoming. We dropped by every chance we got even though we were staying across the valley in Wengen. Remember to bring cash only for payment. There is an ATM by the gondola/cable car station in Murren. The wok fried noodles with prawns were our favorite and our son's favorite was the fried rice with chicken and fried rice with honey pork. My wife also ordered the Assam Chili Chicken and enjoyed the yummy flavors. Excellent nourishment after our hikes! Delicious food, friendly owners and the best food to balance out our other Swiss food forays! We look forward to visiting gorgeous Switzerland again in the near future, especially the Berner Oberland - and we will definitely stop by Tham's in Murren the first chance we get! Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Tham!

Very poor service: old man running the restaurant was highly impatient and wife scammed us on price conversion -- tip: they only accept cash. The value is terrible. The equivalent of 60USD (50CHF) for a grease-soaked plastic container of fried rice (incredibly bland and tasteless) with a count of (5) small strips of chicken and a heart-attack-inducing greasy noodle dish, served with more salt than is in the Atlantic ocean. We tried to be hospitable and nice to the owner, but they responded with indifference, short temper, and annoyance. Insanely rude service, especially from the chef. Yeah, I understand, the prices in Switzerland are crazy expensive, but I wouldn't feed this food to my dog. Not worth $30 a dish. My tip? Don't go. Unless you want to be insulted and go to the least hospitable place in Murren.

Yelp Review 2026 #156:…read more I wanted some Chinese food and Fai Wong came up highly-rated. It's only a 3-5-minute walk from the hotel I was staying at so, I had all green flags to come here. The exterior and interior were intricately designed. It looked promising. Dinner time in Switzerland is 6-8pm. We got here at 6:10pm and the place was empty. Uh oh, that's not a good sign. They don't have old school menus. You have to scan the QR code to view their menu and I absolutely hate that. The service was good. Food came out 15 minutes after placing our order. Spicy Spare Ribs: When you see "spicy" on the menu in Switzerland, don't believe it. Portion is small but it's tasty. 4/5 Beef Noodle Soup: This tastes just like the instant noodles I used to eat when I was 6-10 years old when I didn't know how to cook so I ate instant noodles for survival while my mom got dinner ready. Instead of bok choy, they use cabbage. Instead of big chunks of beef, they use thin slices of beef you typically see in beef with broccoli and combination fried rice or noodles. 2/5 Dim Sum: There are 4 pieces. One shrimp, one veggie, one chicken, and one pork. It was ok 3/5. I like washing my hands before eating. You have to go outside and go inside like an apartment building to access their bathroom. It's not dirty but not the cleanest either. I really should have paid attention to where the reviews came from because this was not over 4 stars quality.
