My wife and I were visiting PR and she wanted some nostalgia from when she was here back over a couple decades ago... She remembered a Chinese restaurant with a hotel on the west side of the island and wanted to see if it was still there... Yes and no, the old hotel/restaurant has since been abandoned but the Chinese restaurant was still there down further... It was decent... A very old place but the food was still good, my opinion, average Chinese you can find anywhere but if you're in the mood give it a try, it's not at all bad just average... Restaurant is located right off the 110, easy restaurant to find. The place has plenty of dine in seating, or you can order to go. If you sit in, they offer you complimentary wonton chips. The place offers typical Chinese food; chow mein, fried rice, chicken, beef and seafood cooked in various ways. They also offer sushi if you're in the mood. I opted for a cup of hot and sour soup which was great and chicken chow mein. The portion of chow mein is enough to feed two in my opinion. It's also the type where the noodles are fried but covers is sauce. When you order the noodles you also get a bowl of rice. For a dollar more you can get fried rice. First, let me say that my "hood" is further South from Ramey, URB RUBIANES, so technically I did not know about this BLDG on the 110 near the base with Asian cuisine after my falling out with NewKidsOnTheBlock "New Flavor CHINA" practically in my backyard now. So here I am undergoing a dental cleaning, and the chica starts saying try out ol' Golden Crown cause she's been doing them for 120 months. She'd countered with the Crown referral when I boasted this joint out in Aguada, aka "Isla" gold something or other. So having been challenged, I of course accepted her white gloved invite to a duel and proceeded for my peeps here. As for their choices, four stars. The AGUADA joint has many more and more generous portions. As for their pricing structure, 2 stars. The cheapest was near $8 for a full meal deal and price matters. As for food itself, 3 stars. It had decent sauces but too few fresh ingredients and more of a place where they re-heat processed food providers and then mix it up in their wok as if it were genuine from Wuhan when it's truly not that fresh. As for interior layout, 5 stars. Here's where they beat the Isla cohort down West in that strip mall. Crown got a bar and formal seating arrangements, so this is the ticket if you need a sit down in China cuisine place to scarf it down. Staff, 5 star. Here, you get fully bilingual sit down options. In fact, a cashier/owner-looking gal redirected me to wait out in front of the door if I was done ordering in a curt manner. Onn my way back, I couldn't help but notice it must be she named on the COVID compliance certificates. So they're running a tight ship for my safety apparently. My main concern expressed here against the Crown would be too little emphasis placed o food quality at an inflated price as compared with my other fav in AGUADA off the 115. On their brighter side, they have a stricter command over interior setting so if you require restricted beverages or a sit down with your commanding officer, this may be more up your alley. Crown deserves a 3.5 stars cause they're still open nowadays, fairly quick to help you out and courteous and bilingual. But my dental hygienist was not concurred with. I think there's better out there especially in terms of portion portion allotment , freshness of ingredients, and prices. We were tourists in the area and called for a delivery order. The person who helped us was most patient, friendly and helpful. He worked with us on Google Maps to get the location right (a challenge because we were in an ARBnB and didn't know the area) The food arrive on schedule, fresh and hot. Great please, best Chinese food I've had since Ive been on this island (authenticity-ness). Very friendly service. Ordered the house special egg foo young, turned out great. The beef garlic sauce on the other hand was a little too sweet for my taste, but not bad enough to deduct a star. Good for a quiet wed evening. read more

The best Chinese food in the area. Most of the so called Chinese restaurants nearby serve fries with every meal, or just sprinkle soy sauce on some Puerto Rican food. Golden Crown makes traditional Chinese food like you would find in San Francisco or New York. The food is also prepared quickly, and they have Chinese beer if that is your taste. read more

Service was good. Soup was good. Fried dumplings done to a crisp and dark. Lemon chicken was small pieces of meat buried in fried dough and a sauce to pour over. Fried rice was ok. Disappointed with place after reading the other reviews! read more

I absolutely adore Chinese food and this is my favorite place to eat it from. The service is quick. The food is amazing, the only problem is that the portions are kinda small so they actually leave you wanting for more. They serve the most amazing sushi its really great! read more
