The food was good quality, tasty and came with free delivery and free prawn crackers (over £15). My only criticism is that we asked for extra chilli with the crispy shredded chilli beef.... And I couldn't taste any chilli at all - next time I'll ask for it nuclear. If you're unsure of where to order from, give these guys a chance. Luckily the delivery driver understands and speaks very good English as we live in a new build and it was complicated explaining the (lovely) Chinese lady where we were. We like the fact you are left with no waiters etc hovering over like traditional restaurants and would recommend it, its clean, tidy and basic. Moderately priced but nothing to either boast or complain about, however the quality definitely matches the price! They're especially great when it comes to large groups, like when having friends over for a casual night in with a few beers or something (usually a FIFA house tournament for us :D). Overall though, it's an above average standard takeaway that you can always rely on, so you can have both just a one-nighter with them or a long term thing with the lovely owners because they're great for both!

Low and behold... it turned out to be a whole lotta nuttin' to write home to mom about. Mediocre food amidst a lot of foxtrot wisky tango (as Jenny would say it)... I didn't think it was possible for people with british accents to be so trashy. The whole time I was in the establishment, I was baraged by elbows and leering looks from the overweight man the next table over who keeps leaning over to read the magazine I had in my hand. When I look up at him, he was unphased and gave me a little knowing nod... ewwwww. Seriously? Get me the heck out of here ASAP. I would put up with this behavior only if the food was good. Unfortunately, the food is bad and the waitresses are bitchy. If you are craving lots of mediocre to bad Chinese food, look no further than Tai Pan. As for me, I'm not going back again, thank you very much.
