When this urge hits, we have found these escapes: Chinese restaurants, a hamburger at the Holiday Inn Luxembourg, Blimpy's, and the Courte Paille chain in France. So, a couple times I have escaped EU cuisine for a day at the Chinese restaurant in Melk (from the Abbey, walk thru the town square, take the first right, and its on the corner of whatever street that is- and the road along the Danube). Decent Chinese food (clue: note the number of Orientals eating here ), decent service, and for EU, relatively low prices.

Ich finde das Panda ist das beste Chinarestaurant in Krems. Ich gehe oft dort essen und das Servicepersonal kennt mich bereits. Der Service ist sehr gut und besonders nett finde ich die kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten die man hin und wieder bekommt. Das kann entweder eine Flasche Pflaumenwein oder ein kleines Geschenk für die Kinder sein. Auch das Essen ist ausgezeichnet. Meiner Meinung nach ist es um Welten besser als das Essen im Jo-Han Chiu. Besonders die Gebratenen Nudeln mit Hühnerfleisch sind einen Besuch im Panda wert! :) Der einzige Kritikpunkt ist die Tatsache, dass das Lokal sehr offen ist und dadurch die Raucherabgrenzung nich wirklich eingehalten werden kann. read more
