Doctor's were telling me that I could get 50%of movement back and I couldn't accept what he has to stay. I have a knack for finding the fight person to heal me when I've never done acupuncture or nerve treatment centers. My path was set when I saw her name and met her the next day. I had lost the feeling in my knee to upper leg to my waistline and a bit above. I was using a cane and in severe pain from being able n a hospital for several months and loss of my memory . I was dealt a severe case of septic arthritis and had so much of the virus in my body from the ability to answer people and discuss anything without realizing what was going on. 1 1/2 months and 7 hospitals before being diagnosed . 5 months of intense acupuncture treatments and a gym trainer I was able to walk with out assistance and my memory lapse took over 6 years and still have issues with but I'm alive and can run on a treadmill. I put my faith in Dr. Chi with nothing and she gave me my life back.

She knows about western medicines as well but practices acupuncture. I have found immense relief in joint pain and feel she can alleviate pain without side effects. She also provides Chinese herbal medicines that work in tandem, but focuses on acupuncture as a main treatment. She is very good with patients and has a good bedside manner. She is very accomodative to scheduling and works with you. Many people are skeptical of needles being inserted, but it is done with skill and Dr Ruiping knows the acupuncture points very well. It is a good idea to know about acupuncture to get rid of your fears and doubts. I recommend her for great pain relief.

I recently moved to Richmond & was immediately trying out places for massages. I loved my previous…read moremassage place & needed something accommodating for my chronic illnesses & with enough availability. I looooove Divine Spark!! Their prices have recently increased to $100+ for an hour session, but honestly, that's more than worth it. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences here & I'm so glad my chronic pain can be treated in my new city.

I booked a session here being TOTALLY UNAWARE they are the best rated massage in Richmond, and you…read moreknow what? I left thinking, "That's got to be the best massage I have ever had." I have severe, chronic pain. I got a massage somewhere else--that I won't name here--and my pain was so bad, I let the masseuse use a lot of pressure. I realized this was a mistake the very next day and they'd done some damage, but I could not use my arm--which is a bad situation to be in. A few days later, I got an appointment here with Tiffany. Tiffany was AWESOME. Along with a general massage and cupping, she used a method called scraping--this, my friends, did WONDERS for my arm. The beds are heated. The face-thingies are SOFT (I don't know why I can't find this everywhere). The only downsides? 1. There's no membership option!!! WHY. WHY WON'T YOU LET ME GIVE YOU MY MONEY MONTHLY?! 2. There's no rooms for couple's massages, and booking two separate massages at the same time for two different people using their online system is. . .not something it wants to let you do. My trick is to book one massage with another directly after it--both times I've done this, I've been called and asked if that was intentional. Once I explained, they had no problem arranging for me and my partner to both get massaged. 3. When you arrive, there's no receptionist, no front desk--there's chairs and magazines, so you KNOW it's the waiting area, but it can feel awkward waiting and being unsure if anyone knows you've arrived for an appointment. Fear not; It seems these folks are punctual and aware of when a client should be there, so they'll pop out of the room they massage in and get you--don't be weird like me and wander around, making the fact you have social anxiety super obvious, awkward, and everyone else's problem in addition to your own; Sit down and open a magazine and read about Reiki. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE. Richmond is flooded with just below average massage parlors/masseuses, which is why you're going to have a hard time ever getting the same, one, good masseuse at a location repeatedly; There's a LOT of turn over because, well. . .Not a lot of people are great at massage. If they are, odds are they'll begin working for a nicer place *cough*Divine Spark*cough* or relocate out of the area entirely. Since Divine Spark is the best, they're priced highly, so I see this place as a place to go when I'm in extreme pain or as a very special treat. Beware--this is a small location and company, so book well in advance if a specific date is important to you. I'm already ready for another appointment, but honestly, seriously, beware; Your next massage elsewhere will leave you disappointed after a trip to Divine Spark.

I fell through an attic and herniated 3 disks in my cervical spine. After a year of horrible pain,…read moresteroids injections in my neck and skull, way too many pain medications, my neurologist suggested acupuncture and going to see Deborah Farley at Acupuncture Clinic of Richmond. At this point, I was open to it. I called in to make an appointment and was told what to expect - 1/2 hour meeting first and then a 45 min session (approx.) I was told I could bring my own music if I like (to listen to while in the therapy room). When I got there, it was a welcoming lobby and Deborah popped out of office to say she'd be right with me and to have a seat in another room. When she came in, we went through a pretty in depth question and answer session. This time was VERY informative. She then let me know that for my particular condition, any relief would take at least 6 sessions and she told me why and explained it. She then told me what to expect in the therapy room. She asked me if I like cool or warm rooms and I chose. She told me to get on the table and take off my socks (you should wear pants that are loose so she can get to your calf area.) I was nervous and she said she could put a few needles in certain areas to calm me down. The needles do NOT HURT. After going countless times, I have had 3 times, where a needle had hit me in just the right spot and it gives you a little shock, again not painful. She then asked if I wanted a heat lamp on me for the duration of the visit. (I tend to freeze, so said sure) She gave me a little bell and told me to ring it if I needed her and then told me I would be in here for 1/2 hour. I'll admit I was nervous to have all these little needles in me and was afraid to move and now she was gonna leave?!?!?!? But...I fell asleep within 10 minutes. Yup! Asleep. Woke up to her telling me I was done and it felt like I had just had the best massage!!!! She counted the needles as she took them out (I guess to be sure she got them all) and then told me she'd meet me out front. I got my stuff together and met her up front and she had water waiting for me. She told me to drink lots of water and might get a little sore and stuffy after. After my first session I was hooked. I have since come off disability and have no lasting effects from my injury. I go every 3 months or so for a "check up" and am forever a fan of accupunture!
