Gunilla, who was at the front desk, was just lovely and welcoming - I just had to mention this! she was always a pleasure. Anyway, I had my consultation with Taya which was very thorough. It was then that I actually realized how stressed I was. I seriously did not think I was until I answered the questions she had for me. Acupuncture helped me relax and, although it didnt quite relieve my backpains (from office work), it did give some improvement with my sleep and worries. During the sessions, the tables are warm and comfortable and so conducive to sleeping/relaxing. Lights are turned off and music was soothing too. The walls, however, are quite thin so me being a light sleeper, I can easily hear some outside chatter if there are any. And plus when the train passes by, the noise can be easily heard in some of the rooms. After going 1-2x a week for around 7 months or so I could definitely tell my stress levels were getting so much better. I do believe Taya and her acupunctures sessions helped a whole lot in the success of our pregnancy and that we now have a 5 month old baby after years of trying and waiting. He would alternate between looking over my shoulder as I filled everything out to pacing like he had way too much coffee. I have had acupuncture before so what took place next was insane. Usually the acupuncturist talks to you about what the issue is, places the needles, dims the lights, puts on spa music and leaves the room WITH OUT interruption for 20 minutes. This place had very loud music (soft hits but VERY loud), someone WALKED IN a few times during my treatment, the door to the junk space was wide open - just not a very relaxing experience at all. This man was off his rocker. BTW - he never introduced himself so I have to call him "this man" I'll admit this man did more than I expected, but after an hour and a half of being pulled, twisted, and climbed on, I had enough and asked to leave (did I mention I only made an appointment for acupuncture). This man actually climbed on my back and pounded my muscles to "loosen" them.
