The center has been absolutely wonderful to our family as our son transitioned from his time abroad. He has thrived in the pre-kinder room where imagination is encouraged and play is part of the curriculum. He does this all in Spanish. We are a bilingual family, but our son's friends come from diverse backgrounds and all Spanish language levels and the teachers adapt to each and every child in the room. His main teacher makes time to speak with me every evening at pickup and the cultural nights are a wonderful opportunity to meet your child's friends' families and discover (with delight) that your child can tell you about the Andes mountains or sing you a song in Spanish. In two weeks they open their brand new site in Roseville, MN. They've shared the journey with the families at the community, and we can already tell that the new space is going to be an even more inviting, vibrant space where your children will discover the world around them right in the outskirts of Minneapolis. You won't regret your decision to send your children here. We recommend it wholeheartedly. Gracias BCEC!

Despite two earlier parent reports of potential abuse, it wasn't until the third and fourth parent reports after the teacher had been there nearly seven months that the center finally sufficiently investigated the situation and removed the teacher. For example, after the abuse was discovered, the owner sent a message to parents instructing them not to "gossip" about it.

OK, in full disclosure, this is my first daycare experience and my first ever kid. And I'll admit,…read moreI'm a neurotic, anal-retentive, worried parent! I was scrambling looking for infant daycare in the Twin Cities. I had looked at several top rated places in the Highland Park area, and unfortunately, the wait lists were SUPER long! I originally thought I had a spot secured at the Jewish Community Center (JCC), and that ended up falling through... so I was urgently scrambling to find a place that met my expectations. Someone had recommended Jardin, so my husband and I toured it immediately. We met with Jardin's Center Director, Hortensia. She was kind, professional, and very patient with all my numerous (read "neurotic!") emails and questions. It was a brand new facility when I toured it (it just opened up in Feb/March of 2017) and was shiny, clean, brightly colored, and new. My husband and I were immediately impressed with Jardin... and we weren't even looking for a language immersion daycare. We ended up enrolling our son there within a few days (we knew their infant spots were going to fill up fast!), and I'm so glad we secured a spot! What I love about Jardin-St. Paul? I love the three daycare providers in the infant room - Isaura, Marisol and Jesica are so kind and gentle with our child, and I feel really good about leaving our kid here. He's always smiling and happy while here, and when I've dropped by several times (to randomly breastfeed him when I have time), he seems very happy! I love how Cheryl (at the front desk) occasionally sends us pictures of our son interacting with the teachers, as it gives me some peace that he's happy there. I also love that I can come and go to breastfeed as needed. What are some other pros? While my kid isn't eating food yet, they serve organic food here (Their menu looks so good, I want to eat there!). And they are super eco-friendly. They use cloth diapers during the day (You bring your kid in their regular diaper - we use disposable - and they change him in and out of cloth diapers throughout the day. They also change him at the end of day so you go home with a disposable diaper). They provide diaper rash cream, as needed. You don't get nickel and dime'd for everything (e.g., diapers, meals, etc.). They have a great fenced in outside playground and an indoor gym. (Plus, Tori Ramen is right across the street so you can grab a quick meal before you pick up your kid!). The cons? It's not in the best area of Selby-Dale/St. Paul. And the hours (7:30AM-5:30PM) are very narrow if you have a job that has earlier or later hours. Occasionally, the door has been locked at 7:30AM, so I've had to call to be let in. That said, the pros outweigh the limited cons, and we've been super happy here. Nothing negative to review at all so far! Overall, I couldn't be happier. Love this place so far. Two thumbs up!!!

I was very disappointed with the quality of care, the level of supervision, and the oversight of the owners. My son (who was in the toddler-early preschool age group at the time) had four different teachers during his time at Lexington Kids. Each time one of his teachers left or was fired, the parents were provided with a letter informing us that the teacher was no longer with the school--no more explanation than that. My son couldn't get to know any of the teachers because the rate of turnover, and I was uncomfortable with the lack of supervision on the playground. I ended up pulling him out and enrolling him somewhere else. I did not feel like my concerns were listened to or considered by the owners, and my contact information was lost twice. I can't recommend this childcare. Also, my first review of this childcare was reported (presumably by the owners) and removed, and after I posted this second review solely about my own experiences there, I was emailed by the owner and basically asked to take it down. This is an honest review in every way about my experience, and I will not change it.

He had been attending another daycare with drop-in care outside of the cities, which was going alright aside from the distance away from work/home. However, when I called them on this last Monday, they were unable to get him in, and weren't sure if they were staffed enough to get him in any time soon, and couldn't give me any answers as to when they would be able to. Meanwhile, this is two months after I have fully registered him, and he has been there for a few weeks and started to get comfortable. So there I was, without childcare, and frantic. I called KinderCare late that Monday afternoon, after reading about them online, I spoke with Kayla on the phone and she was extremely helpful, put me at ease about everything, and was able to get my son in the next day and for the rest of the week with no problems, in their Discovery Preschool area. They made it very easy to get him in on such short notice, and I felt extremely comfortable with my son going there. He enjoyed his time there, and the staff kept me very informed and welcomed to all of the goings-on while my son was in their care. I would recommend their drop-in care to anyone I know who is in need of childcare at a short notice. They made my entire week better. And I will now be sending my son there on a more regular basis.
