I can't exactly remember how I found Liz but I don't care, I'm just glad I did!…read more We booked a studio newborn session for our first little one and the entire experience and final product was more than we could have hoped for. It started with a lovely phone call for us to get to know each other and for Liz to get to know what our goal was for the photos. In our case the studio session was the right call. Our little one had some minor issues that left our hospital discharge date in limbo but Liz was so kind and accommodating in working with us to find the best day. It was a relief because it allowed my husband to join and worked around his crazy schedule. The studio is warm and welcoming. Liz is such an easy and gentle person and it was such a pleasure to chat with her during the session. Being a nurse and having little ones herself made me feel extra safe handing over my two week old for a couple of hours. She was really receptive to our wants for the photos. They turned out absolutely adorable! I squealed when I got the final images. We got some family shots, some cutesy shots, and some detail shots as well. I first met her through a friend that was organizing a head shots evening for…read morelots of professional friends, so I bought 15 min in a studio with Stacey and got the best headshot that has come in so very handy many times. I moderated a panel last week and a panelist I was being introduced to said, "yes, the woman with the most amazing head shot." Yesterday morning we did our 5th(!) family mini session shoot with Stacey in a garden next to the Capitol. It's wonderful to get these beautiful shots of our children growing up -- and have some shots with me that I love that aren't selfies! Years ago Stacey took an iconic (among our family and friends) photo of my son sulking off to the left of the Washington monument when my husband and I were were standing to the right smiling while pregnant with our daughter. My husband and I decided to take impromptu photos recently at around noon on a Saturday. Naturally…read morewhen googling "photographer near me," google returned several JC Penney locations. After calling all of the nearby ones and finding that none of them would accommodate me on such short notice, I searched for local/private own places. I found Matthew on google and realized he was very close to my home. When I called him, he was very professional and polite and was able to fit us in. Due to the weather, I was running slightly late, but when I called to let him know, it was no issue. There was even a lady that showed up during our session who was 2 hours late for her passport appointment and he was still very professional and welcoming to her. The location was easy to find and he was simply really great at his craft and made the experience very comfortable. We followed his lead during the shoot and he returned some great quality photos. Highly recommended for family photography and for hiring for corporate events. I'm also positive they were equal or better quality photos to any JC Penney or other corporation.
