We stayed in the "Hudson's Bay" room which was done up with Bay blankets and a little fireplace. There's a nice walking trail that goes through the bush that we liked too.

I was so tempted to go to Canadian Tire and buy and install a new one where you can pick one up for less than 20 bucks. Our room is out of date and looks like it's stuck in the 70's. The bathroom towels feel hard because they're probably hung to dry outside after washing them. The old and antiquated hot tub is not very handicap friendly as my wife could not get in easily since there are no hand grips or bars to get in safely. There is a path in the nearby woods, but we opted out of walking in it since one of our friends got a tick on his forearm after he emerged from the snowmobile path from a walk. In summer, it's full of mosquitoes and blackflies, so sitting outside on the very old and faded lawn chairs is out of the question. Breakfast was very good but, instead of really nice napkins, we were given folded paper towels instead. I mean, come on! The signage to the inn is by the side of the highway and not very easy to see and easy to miss the inn especially in the dark. Because of it's remote location, there is very few competition in the county. The owners seem friendly enough though.

We had a terrible smell in the coffee bar area the first night, I'm sure it was a dead something, they took care of it right away! Charging extra for the in room coffee is very cheap! Come on!! The foot stool in our room has seen better days, it was FILTHY! There's old and there's need to be replaced, the patio chair covers are disgustingly dirty and old. I'm sure they're at-least 30 years old. Small details like updating visions and tub stoppers (brown and disintegrated) can go a long way. We had a private parking spot next to our cabin and STILL got charged parking fees. That's a bit ridiculous, for the price everyone pays there is plenty that should be included. Ice to get the park pass for free, we used it daily. I'm not sure I'd recommend to anyone, unless they got it as a gift.

We arrived without a reservation, but she was able to accommodate us no problem! The room was nice and spacious, super clean and up to date! I slept lap well on the comfy bed, my husband didn't but that was because I was sleeping so well I snored and woke him up. I sept through breakfast but my husband said it was great! He had an Omelet and bacon and toast and liked the coffee. He brought me a tea and or was nice as well. The shower was glorious with good pressure and lots of hot water! Bonus points for large refillable bottles on the wall that cuts back on plastic waste! Which is super important to me. When we were leaving our room the housekeepers were in the hallway a couple rooms down from us and I didn't hear them at all when we were in our room and they were so nice and friendly! We waited in the comfortable chairs in the lobby for our ride, the chairs are so comfortable. Thank you so much for the nice stay! Our daughter and son in law have moved to Petawawa so we will be back!

I brought this up to the front desk staff several times and they offered nothing (other than saying I could go down the street to Tim Hortons and use their wifi). Honestly, if I hadn't booked through a travel ap i would have demanded my money back and gone elsewhere (like the one next door that didn't seem to have any issues). Do better.

The fitness room only had 4 equipment; 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical, and 1 pedalling equipment. This was the only hotel in the area that would accommodate 5-6 people to a room. Our room had a pull out couch. Our room was very nicely cleaned. Although I didn't know why the drapes wouldn't close all the way.
