If you are looking for a great way to spend the day, Chipshots Foot Golf will not disappoint you. It's just a short drive from Canaan Valley resort and is situated on a beautiful piece of property. The course is well maintained and was actually pretty challenging. Playing with 3 high school athletes made it even more challenging, so if you haven't kicked a soccer ball in a while, choose your opponents wisely. Tim was a gracious host and even provided spring water for us at the turn-around before we played "the back nine". Unlike traditional golf, it doesn't take half a day to play 18 holes and it's not a bad way to get some exercise (there are no golf carts in foot golf). The best part is all you need is a soccer ball AND they provide them for their guests. If you haven't played before, it takes some time to get used to the strategy of how to play; like putting, kicking out of the high rough, etc... Foot Golf is a great activity for birthday parties, family reunions or even team building. If you are in the area and want to try something out of the ordinary, I highly recommend it. read more

We loved it! Our family of 10 people ages 11 to 71 had a great time. Challenging but very fun! Anyone can play! Owners were so nice! read more

This is a great place for fun. The first dedicated footgolf course in the US. The course is tight but fun. Owners are so friendly. If you are in the area and interested in fun, make sure to stop by. We may try it again before leaving the area and will certainly be back next year. read more

Chips Shots is a dedicated FootGolf course. FootGolf is a combination of soccer and golf. The game is played with a soccer ball. The rules largely correspond to the rules of golf. The player with the fewest kicks wins. FootGolf can be played individually and in groups. A group of 4 is ideal. Chips Shots was created out of a small family farm. Enjoy the game and great views.

Meet the Business Owner: Tim W.

I have over 30 years of experience in recreation management. I grew up on WV State Parks and one of my first jobs was working on a golf course. Chip Shots brings the spirit of golf to a new audience. Unlike golf, there isn't a huge start-up cost and it's inexpensive overall. I enjoy bringing this sport to Canaan Valley.
