UPDATE (2 weeks after): he reached out because he was concerned about the effects of my review on his business. I gave him a second chance and said we could do a make up shoot. We did a bunch of research on Yelp, looked at A LOT of photographers websites and work and ultimately chose Vicky. Frankly, her rate was higher than most, but her quality of work that we saw in her examples was much, much better. And I'll tell you, when we got the sessions proofs back, they were incredible. She really has an incredibly eye for how to set the picture up and a really talent for taking them. She and her husband were also GREAT with the kids and dogs, somehow getting them all to look a smile for the camera, no small task! Being that she is so young, the studio made sure to schedule extra time for us in case of unforseen circumstances, which was perfect because we ended up needing it! My daughter woke up after 15 minutes and wanted to eat. She then threw up all over me and then wanted to eat again!
