I started seeing Dr. Choi for abdominal pain and nausea and vomiting. Prior to Dr. Choi, I was seeing my primary care physician who referred me to GI, who referred me to OB/GYN on what felt like a wild goose chase. After several doctors, emergency visits, and expensive diagnostic testing, I realized that conventional medicine was just stressing me out with little relief of symptoms. In my opinion, the physicians I saw were nice but they didn't seem motivated to find out what was causing the problems. They were content to prescribe medications (which often were not helpful) and perform diagnostic testing but there was no urgency to the investigation. I would have a visit and then have to wait several weeks for a test, then wait several weeks for the results which would prompt another test and the cycle just keeps going. In the mean time, I would be acutely sick intermittently so bad that it usually required an emergency visit for re-hydration. The mental exhaustion from fighting nausea every day was indescribable. My OB/GYN doctor said she found a trigger point in my lower abdominal wall and referred me for a trigger point injection. She stated that this was probably causing the nausea and vomiting as well. The physician she referred me to wanted $600-$800 for the initial visit where I was told no treatment would be given and I would have to have another visit for the injection. After a long history of medical fees and bills, I had finally had enough. I researched trigger point injections and found that another technique called dry needling was just as effective. I found Dr. Choi on Google and read about his treatments and reviews. I made an appointment and was easily fit in the same week which was practically unheard of with my other doctors. The office is very well organized and clean. It is a smaller, open office that made me feel comfortable and did not give off a cold sterile clinical setting. The Ladies of the office were both extremely hospitable and welcoming. Dr. Choi was also extremely personable. Prior to the visit, I completed an extensive questionnaire. Dr. Choi reviewed this in detail and went over what my answers indicated relating to my medical condition. If this was the only thing we did that day I would have been more impressed with him then all my other doctors combined. I appreciate how he really took the time to consider all of the history, symptoms, and what I had to say. As the visit continued, Dr. Choi was always proactive in explaining not only what he was doing but also what he was finding. I have had three visits and I am pain free. Dr. Choi made me feel like he actually wanted to find out what was wrong and even had some really great recommendations on the first day. I continue to be nauseated in the AM after waking up occasionally, but the frequency of nausea has been so greatly reduced that I actually am happy with my current condition. I also do stretches that Dr. Choi recommended which I find to be helpful. Plus, Dr. Choi visits are extremely affordable. I pay the same I would to see my GI doctor and they don't even do any treatment in the office. Now I will try to see Dr. Choi before I resort to my other physicians. read more

The care I have received by Dr. Choi for the past year has been very effective, and the receptionist is always very prompt at setting my appointments. I received a very thorough evaluation and Dr. Choi always explains my conditions and recommended action plan very thoroughly. I always receive a combination of appropriate treatments, versus the typical chiropractors who crack your neck and send you on your way. I initially received treatment for chronic headaches and neck pain caused by my work conditions and degenerative arthritis in my neck. I was having daily headaches which didn't respond to over the counter medications, and now I am glad to say I haven't had a headache in several months. I've received occasional treatment for plantar fasciatis; initially, I would wake with intense foot pain that began with my first step in the morning and prevented me from standing or walking for longer than 30 mins at a time -- my condition continues to improve with treatments and I have resumed most of my daily routines without resorting to medication. Additionally, I am receiving care for carpel tunnel/golfers elbow/shoulder pain a.k.a "crush syndrome"; when began treatment for this pain, I was lucky to get 4 hrs of sleep due to the intense pain that would wake me and continue through most of the morning --I'm now getting a full night's rest and continue to see improvement with this condition. As a RN you would expect me to be the pillar of health and know what I need to do to be a healthy person. I routinely see my primary care physician for check ups and have been on medication for hypertension for years. I have reported my symptoms of fatigue and general malaise to my PCP and was told to work out more, get more sleep and my favorite...you are depressed. So I worked our more, slept more, took antidepressants and still felt crappy. I than developed back pain from my workout routine. So off I went to a chiropractor, which would help for a day or two but then the pain came back. So I decided to try a different method to wellness. I have been receiving care from Dr. Choi for the last fours months. On my first visit he did a through work up including a food diary, blood work, physical exam and hormone test. He take a full wellness approach and it has been life changing for me. I cannot even begin to express how grateful I am to Dr. Choi and his practice. I was in a pretty bad place both mentally & physically before my first visit. I was involved in a car accident in July of 2014 where my car was totaled. I had a lot of pain on the left side of my neck due to whiplash during the accident. My primary care physician recommended that I consult a Chiropractor. I heard about Dr Choi through a Christian radio station that I listen to, 89.7 Grace FM. Dr Choi carefully assessed my condition and then explained what had happened to my neck and upper-back muscles/ligaments during the accident and the process that he recommended for rehabilitation. He also explained that the rehabilitation process required that I also do some exercises on my own at home. I went for 2 Chiropractic sessions each week with Dr Choi where he exercised the neck/upper-back muscles using electric pulses, stretched the neck/upper-back muscles using his hands, and also applied laser technology to the affected muscles. After a recent automobile accident, I contacted Dr. Choi's office to address some tension in my upper back/shoulder. Dr. Choi is truly amazing! I have been to many doctors, chiropractors and physical therapists over the years and have never experienced anyone as caring, knowledgeable and skillful as Dr. Choi. I came to him in January of 2014 for treatment for two bulging disks in my lower back, sciatica, neck pain and knee pain. I highly recommend Dr. Choi!! He is not only a great chiropractor but also a knowledgeable acupuncturist. I was in a car accident years ago and recently have also been diagnosed with Lupus and have had back aches for several years now. It hurt to stand, lay or sit very long. The short time I had with Dr. Choi was exceptional. I reinjured my back and was able to get in to see him on very short notice. The receptionist explained that they were closing their office in about 10 days, but after reading their reviews, I decided to see if Dr. Choi could get me back on my feet literally. He was very through in his exam and explained step by step what he was doing and why. The day after my first visit I felt 100% better and able to get around. Had two follow up visits and after each visit, I felt better and better. Dr Eric Choi has been my chiropractor for 2 months. He is amazing! He is so conscientious about how my body responds to treatment. At first my lower back was in too much trauma to handle big adjustments. So Dr. Choi did gentle smaller adjustments. No other chiropractor has ever done that. They did what they thought best and I was always physically sick after treatment. This is not the case with Dr. Choi. After 8 visits my back is almost pain free.
