Conveniently located just off South Rd above Sir Donald Bradman, the office is not much to look at but the service inside is excellent. A friend once forgot her appointment there and he called her after she didn't show up 10 minutes later and because she promised to be right there, he kept his appointment with her and moved the schedule around to accommodate her forgetfulness. And for a business in the medical and health industry which is not often known for its compassion in cases of human error, this was a great display of his high quality service. The only bad thing is the consulting rooms share a wall with the busy chemist next door. I don't know when the building was built but they must have made paper thin walls because you can hear all of the happenings in the Chemist! Annoying, but tolerable I suppose.

The doctors are good however they're also good at the other clinics that I have visited, and unfortunately at Fountain Corner you are required to pay a larger fee when in comparison. Having said this, the doctors here are probably above average and I do think when it comes to health Fountain Corner is an appropriate and efficient clinic. Overall Fountain Corner is a nice and friendly practice, which can be found on Unley Road. With a fairly nice vibe attached to the environment here it's a pleasant experience, however just a little pricier than your standard fully bulk billed doc.

They have extended opening hours which is fantastic so you don't have to take time off work to get an appointment all the time. I've always been given referrals for any family member to really good places as well. Usually they will bulk bill which heaps of places don't do anymore so if someone gets sick the day before pay day it's not a problem. They have a nurse on duty most of the time if you need. They have other more specialised services they offer such as some sports stuff, psychologists, weight management and laser hair removal. they also have a pharmacy in the same complex so you can get your prescriptions filled before you leave. Best features are the definitely the bulk billing, the extended opening hours and their after hours locum service (BEST thing ever is you have really sick kids - the doc comes to you and all the details are still kept on their same files). Usually you do need an appointment nowadays but if it is urgent and you just drop in they can usually work something out.

This is a great service....especially if you have children and need a doctor's appointment sooner…read morerather than later. If it is a more urgent appointment that you need, tell them. They will either get you in sooner or direct you to another service if needed. If you don't mind seeing a different doctor every time (which I don't unless it's an ongoing health issue) you can usually get in to see someone that day. After so many visits there, and so many doctors, I have to say that all the staff have been helpful, patient and kind. They are now my first phone call when I need medical help. Thankfully, they're pretty incredible. If you've been struggling to find the right doctor to deal with anything related to women's health, I recommend giving these guys a go. Friendly, helpful, and non-judgemental. There is a real focus on getting to the bottom of whatever issues you're having, rather than just prescribing something and sending you on your way. There's a pathology clinic and a medical imaging clinic in the same building, and often if you get sent off for tests you can get everything squeezed into the same day. The only downside is the fees. Make sure you call them up and ask about their fee structure before your appointment.

We have seen three GPs thus far and they have all been lovely but the particular GP we book in with is Lesley Blimkie as she is thorough, has a kooky and great sense of humor, excellent clinical judgement and is fantastic and patient with kids. All the qualities I was looking for in my search for a GP when we moved down south. This is why I give this practice 5 stars :) The admin staff are always pleasant and helpful and you are always greeted with a smile. Such a change from the previous practice I attended closer to the CBD. I always love service with a smile, and who doesn't really?! Plus they bulk bill for all children under 10. There is also a dietician and a practice nurse and a plethora of services offered so please refer to their website as there is too many to list. While you wait, peruse through the diverse range of up-to-date magazines while listening to the calming instrumental music playing in the background. Great children's play area with a great selection of toys and it is always clean. There is room to park your prams or wheelchairs too. Ample parking on site. In the busy months, some of the GPs at Wellbeing McLaren sometimes close their books for new patients, so if you are in search of a GP and live up this way, book in with them now so you can get in as a new patient. This is by far one of the best GP clinics I have been to because the staff are friendly and it is evident that they take pride in their practice as it always looks clean and well presented.

Foot freedom I am a…read moreconvert. Having previously viewed podiatrists as a necessary evil associated only with advancing age, a knee injury forced me to re-think my unfounded assumption. Desperate to relieve a flare up of an old knee injury and having seen many press advertisements for Foot and Leg Centre and receiving a personal recommendation from my massage therapist I took a leap of faith. I guess it's not rocket science - if your feet are out of alignment then your knees and hips are most likely as well. This proves to be true with most of the Foot and Leg Centre's clients and certainly in my case. Successfully working on my feet has fixed my knee pain. My knee pain was so bad at one stage I could only go down stairs 1 foot at a time. I now visit only for quarterly maintenance visits (or when I fall off my bike!) and I am back to all former fitness activities. The Foot and Leg Centre has two locations - North Adelaide and Glenelg. Our family have now attended both sites and I have been extremely impressed by outstanding customer service, professionalism and the treatment provided. Ted and his team are sought out by podiatrists from around the world to train their unique method. I highly recommend The Foot and Leg Centre (Glenelg and North Adelaide). Overcome your "only for old people" prejudice that's preventing you from effectively treating that niggling pain in your heel, knee, hip every time you run or play sport like I did. Chiro is one of those thing that you have to feel really comfortable and safe with the practitioner as they are dealing predominately with the spine, I personally feel like im in good hands at Mt Barker chiro.
