This is a great place if you have to go to the doctor. They have about a dozen doctors on duty and once you find out the ones you like it is much better. They have extended opening hours which is fantastic so you don't have to take time off work to get an appointment all the time. I've always been given referrals for any family member to really good places as well. Usually they will bulk bill which heaps of places don't do anymore so if someone gets sick the day before pay day it's not a problem. They have a nurse on duty most of the time if you need. They have other more specialised services they offer such as some sports stuff, psychologists, weight management and laser hair removal. they also have a pharmacy in the same complex so you can get your prescriptions filled before you leave. Best features are the definitely the bulk billing, the extended opening hours and their after hours locum service (BEST thing ever is you have really sick kids - the doc comes to you and all the details are still kept on their same files). This is a great service....especially if you have children and need a doctor's appointment sooner rather than later. If it is a more urgent appointment that you need, tell them. They will either get you in sooner or direct you to another service if needed. If you don't mind seeing a different doctor every time (which I don't unless it's an ongoing health issue) you can usually get in to see someone that day. After so many visits there, and so many doctors, I have to say that all the staff have been helpful, patient and kind. They are now my first phone call when I need medical help. I hardly ever go to doctors ... but if I really have to in a hurry or need a sick certificate for work, this is where I like to go - they are open very long hours, there are many many doctors working here, and they are open very flexible hours. Oh, and bulk billing - again, very handy! Usually you can get an appointment that day, and don't need to wait very long for doctors. read more

A good suburban practice that has a variety of Doctors. They are open till late at night as well so this makes it easier to get an appointment if you work shift work. Bulk billing is one of the reasons I go here. Some of the doctors can seem in a rush and a few times I've felt that they just give you a prescription and that's it. That said, my mum also goes here and she's found a doctor that suits her. My best tip is if you didn't prefer a doctor ask for another on your next appointment. All right if you need a doctors sick certificate for work in a hurry. They bulk bill so you have no out of pocket expenses. You cannot be too fussy however , so don't expect great caring and compassion etc. There is also a chemist on site which is helpful if you have a script to fill. We have been going to this practice for several years, we are a family of 5. We come here because there is a particular doctor who handled my husbands health concern well. However over the years we have come to realise that this practice will rush people through, and the reception staff are incredibly rude. Reading several reviews on True Local which are more recent, you will see that many have had terrible experiences with the receptionists. My recent experience has put me off ever returning. My son had an injury and I wanted to book an appointment with a doctor who had some experience with children and injuries. I find that most doctor practices state the specialities of their doctors so that you can find the best fit for what you are coming in for. The receptionist refused to allow me to choose a doctor, and was rude in mocking me for wanting to find out if any doctor would be a best fit. I phoned another surgery afterwards where I found the receptionist to be caring, and cared to know what we were coming in for. So out of courtesy I phoned Fountain Valley to cancel and the receptionist was incredibly rude. She did not care how my son was or why we weren't coming in, even in just simply asking to cancel an appointment she was so rude!!!! She even hung up on me when I wanted to speak! After many years, we are moving on, we will not be treated like this. Doctors surgeries need to be caring, especially as we come in feeling vulnerable about our health concerns.
