However, all the massage places in the area have the same increase. There is free parking with two designated spots since it is a busy strip. They do well with limited English. Things they could do to make it five stars: my roommate and I noticed, they do not consistently have the same amount of time. I set my watch now. They could put a sign on the door when full so the workers don't have to leave to answer the door and phone. I'd love if they could get the hot towels ready in the room--they are all big enough--so no one is freezing while waiting for the massage personnel to return. And don't ask for more of a tip; it's just tacky.

On a recent visit, I was there to participate in a monthly event called "Heaven and Hell" an artist showcase of musicians, poets, dancers and visual artists. Organizers use one of the many studios for their event. I saw this as the perfect time to pick up the necessary groceries that I needed and enjoyed a family friendly evening of fun. They do however sell artwork everyday by local artists, that is displayed in the main hall and through out the retail area. Who doesn't love a small business that supports the arts?? I still need to attend one of the many cooking demos they host, where a local chef will take you through the steps of creating magic in your own kitchen. I also need to get a massage, who doesn't need a message...right? The staff is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable on classes and products sold.... The ambiance of the Houma Massage was very relaxing with dim lighting and lovely music playing. Cagney was incredible as she listened to my complaints about pain on the left side of my neck and shoulder. I got a 90 minute massage and after felt significantly better, which I've never experienced before. She let me know that she worked out a lot of the knots in the areas with pain and that the rest should undo themselves. The next day I felt 100% better which was really mind blowing.
