First, with just naturopath visit and herbal treatment. It made a difference right away but not I feel that there something more that she can do to help me. So she asked if I would like to try acupuncture which I did and it made me totally different person. I am more calm, I sleeping much better and I am able to handle stress so much better. She is even helping me now with my thyroid issues and soon will ask her to help me with Diabetes. That's when my heartburn and acid reflux came back. So I found Dr Qian's clinic and she did acupuncture on me for about a couple of weeks and the heartburn and acid reflux had stopped. After 3 days of driving and meeting I was in excruciating pain. I called the clinic (which is btw super nice and clean). Dr Quian waited for me to arrive and gave me one of the best acupuncture session I ever had. She had cupping to it and I was already relieved. I needed help to relax the muscles after a long flight as I was going to race at Ironman Mont-Tremblant on Aug 18 (Sunday). Also, I had a hamstring/hip injury which was continuously bugging me during my runs, especially towards the end (after 30-33 km) in Marathons. Her treatment did miracle! Not only I felt insanely fresh in all the muscles, but also the soreness at my problem hamstring/hip area almost completely disappeared. This was remarkable - as this was the first and the only time I visited her (I am from California, USA, not from Montreal)! I could do my first Ironman Race with ease (well, relatively speaking! The practitioner who treated me was disappointing on many levels. He did not do a proper assessment of the situation, rather he immediately jumped to the conclusion that my acute injury whuch occurred over the weekend was the result of poor workplace ergonomics based simply on the fact that I have a desk job and don't have a standing desk. Never mind that I adjusted my desk with a consultation by a professional ergotherapist - I spent 90 min here being preached to about the virtues of standing desks (even though I have a foot problem and have been advised not to use one), with no real treatment of my acute issue itself other than squeezing the limb for several minutes so it would "relax". The next day in addition to the joint issue, now the surrounding muscles are inflamed and sore. I do want to point out that I understand the modality of osteopathy and the fact that sometimes a subtle event can be the straw that breaks the camel's back. However that's not a license for lazy diagnosis. This particular practitioner was a poor listener and pushy and I did not feel like he was listening or trying to properly understand the situation. What he described did not match the pattern of onset of my pain or symptoms. There is something more acute going on and now I am going elsewhere to get an x-ray and a proper diagnosis. I will finally add that the practitioner kept touching and moving his mask during the treatment then putting his bare hands on my neck and shoulders without sanitizing them. This clinic needs better hiring and training processes.

I initially started seeing him as a result of an ongoing lower back injury, and he remains my go-to guy whenever I'm suffering from any kind of physical injury. Dr. Brisson has worked with the NHL, Cirque du Soleil and Olympic athletes, and you'll often see young gymnasts and other sports enthusiasts in his waiting room. He really knows his sh*t - not only is he a certified chiropractor, but he's also a Kinesiologist and thus, his knowledge of how your body moves is incredible. He's not your standard chiropractor, often using unconventional ways to get to the root of a problem. For example, I once complained about my balance being off - he left the room, came back with a capsule of fish oil, broke it open, and told me to stick it under my tongue. He then made me execute specific movements and asked me if I still felt unbalanced. Nope, I did not. He's also been known to use acupuncture to treat some pesky injuries. He knows exactly which areas to target to fix your problem. He has also often advised me on nutrition, the best types of workouts for my body type, as well as what kind of supplements to take to help optimize my health (no, not steroids!). The one thing I need to point out is that Dr. B has a very unique personality.... he's VERY dry and sarcastic and he can come off as arrogant. But, once you get to know him, you get used to him. As far as I'm concerned, he's worth the drive, the money and the attitude. He's not one of those doctors who has you seeing him every week for months on end - you'll see him a few times IF you need to, and you'll be all set. Of course, this is dependent upon your issue. I now see him 1-2 times a year unless my back is misbehaving. Price: Very reasonable - it's about $60 per visit.
