A month later, I hardly feel the pain, unless I lift something heavy or try to reach out to my left side. Very happy about the result of the PRP. During the process, Der. Roofian was very professional and caring. As instructed, I came back to his Tarzana office a month later to check up on my shoulder pain. At this time, he gave me a cortisone shot for my upper back pain. Now, I'm virtually pain free and back to normal as long as I don't excert or abuse my left shoulder. I was given a prescription for ketamine nasal spray after my IV sessions and since I hadn't filled it in a few months, the pharmacy didn't have a record of it. I called his office and they said they wouldn't refill it unless I paid the doctor $250 to sit down with him and have him rewrite the prescription. I was not happy with this but agreed to come in and get the prescription which cost $100. The pharmacy was very helpful and I received a month supply of nasal spray. After the month, I called to get my prescription refilled but the pharmacist said I had to have the doctor call to refill it. I was told by Dr Roofian's office that I needed to pay the $250 EVERY month in order to get the $100 prescription filled. That's $350/month just to get this critically important medicine that I need desperately but now I can't afford it because of this ridiculous extra $250 expense on top of the $100 cost for the medicine. This is no way to treat your patients. It feels like this doctor takes advantage of his patients. Shame on Dr. Roofian.
