I ordered the bistro set over 1 month ago. August 11 I received an email from Chivari stating that one of the items from the set was out of stock and I could wait or choose another item. We wanted that specific color so we chose to wait. After 2 weeks I called because the item showed "in stock" on their website and they said it would be about 2 more weeks and the item was still not available. I have issues with their customer service for online orders. I ordered 2 tables and received a nice email from a representative promising to see that my order was processed and that I would get the shipping info. I never received the shipping info and then found that their website does not allow you to look up your order. After 2 weeks with no shipping info, I inquired and was told that they would process my order immediately and ship within 3 days. After waiting 10 days I finally requested to cancel my order and asked for a confirmation. I never received a confirmation and had to file a credit card dispute. Terrible customer service and communication. I do not recommend ordering online from this company. read more

i went on Chiavari website recently, didn't see anything i liked and exited the site. two days later got an email thanking them for the order, me completely surprised, called the company and complained about their mistake, i didn't purchase anything from them, please correct your error and take the charge from my credit card (how they got my credit card and security code numbers they never explained!) the kicker was the item was a pillow for $ 8.98 and the they charged $ 18.00 for shipping!! i called again, no answer, left a voice message to stop this fraud immediately. who would buy a pillow for $9 dollars and pay $18 for shipping? never heard from them, 8 days later a shitty pillow arrived and was promptly burned. wanted to challenge the credit card charge but visa wanted $35 to challenge it, so accepted a dishonest, criminal company will continue their fraudulent business practice - BEWARE CHEATING CHIAVARI "mo#**##*!*#*#-uckers" !!! read more

I have so much to say but I won't waste my time writing a book. Long story short, Ive been in business over 15 years and 85% of our inventory has been purchased from the chiavari chair company. To begin with, the sales reps are amazing but love to over promise and under deliver. And most than often don't meet expectations. Theres no accountabilty from management. They'll hear out your complaint and advise will follow up but hardly ever. Next, their shipping procedure is horrible. We have placed orders which would get to our warehouse the very next day. But more than often orders we place have a week at least delay. I sometimes wonder how they stay in business because Im pretty sure there's more unsatisfied customers. read more

I recently ordered 150 fruitwood/brown Chiavari chairs from The Chiavari Chair Company. I have ordered a tremendous amount of commercial furniture for the hospitality industry. This has been one of my most stress-free experiences. Randy, my sales person was SO easy to work with. I had a deadline of a three week window and was not counting that they would be available for the first event of the week~ I could not believe that they arrived (all in excellent shape) and also of great quality and a day early. I rent chairs every week and I feel that the construction was great and the finish was without surface imperfections. The follow thru from the sales department checking on the delivery was an added plus!! I would highly recommend this company for chairs! Horrible Service- I paid for my order in full and even went to pick up my order from their warehouse. They took my money and only had half of my order available and did not even tell me until after I paid. I was promised a follow up call back which I recieved stating that they could get the other half of my order but I would have to pay for shipping because it would be coming from New Jersey. Not to mention I was suppose to be refunded the full amount I paid for the chairs and they refunded me the cost of the chairs with out the taxes THAT I PAID FOR, I was tired of the back and forth so I let them keep it. I do not recommend their service OR business to anyone. Next time Ill choose quality over quantity and just pay $1.00 more and go somewhere else. read more

I want to share my exceptional experience I had with the Chiavari Chair Company in Miami. It was very late in the day when I realized that I was short a few chairs for an event I scheduled on a Saturday and I started to get that sinking feeling. Desperate, I frantically started calling local companies that are closer to where I live. All I heard was 'we don't have them, we can't help you etc." Although, I knew I was too far away at the time, I called the one company that I know that has the inventory I need and has always been very helpful. At 4:59pm on a Friday, I was very surprised when someone answered the phone. My first question was how late are you open tonight and are you open on Saturday. When I heard not open on Saturday, that horrible sinking feeling came back. A very patient man answered. He said his name was Shawn and he was the owner. He asked me a series of questions in order to find a solution for me. To my surprise, he offered to take the chairs to his home for me and I could pick them up Saturday morning. A perfect solution! We quickly exchanged phone numbers and addresses. He sent the invoice with instructions and he saved the day! An owner who went above and beyond for his customer-a very special business man. We ordered CHAMPAGNE chivari chairs. 250 to be exact. Was given was we thought was a fair price, till they came in. I could live with the bottoms of every chair scuffed and scratched and paint missing, like they had been used and then had covers put on. What i can not live with is the fact that these chairs are not CHAMPAGNE! they are silver! platinum/pewter at best! I was told their champagne is pewter! now in what world is champagne pewter? pewter has silver undertones champagne has gold undertone. I even have a shipping manifest the describes the chairs as PLT (platinum) after several unresponsive emails i called, and called and called till after 3 days (when i was told 24-48 hour response) i received an email stating i could return them if i paid for return shipping (well of a thousand dollars) plus 20% restocking fee(well over an additional $2000) or 1/4th of the cost of my order then after they inspect to make sure they haven't been used (remember how i said they were already used looking when i got them) they would refund the difference but would not refund if they were used. also i would have to repack and put them on a pallet and wrap them. I told them there was no way i was doing this when they sold me something that was not as they described and that i would except an exchange. I have received no response and am now filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. read more
