This is a fantastic stop for any type of candy/chocolate gift for friends and family! We stopped in to Choco Latte during a road trip, it was so good we made a special stop on our way back home as well! We bought the chocolate dipped Oreos, all varieties of fudge for a 100th birthday present, caramel, and tried the black and white mocha - everyone that received them raved on how good they were! The service was excellent, they went out of their way to individually wrap, label, and put ribbon on boxes of fudge we bought as presents. There's a lot of space in the store, and it's set up with individual tables to enjoy coffee, tea, or Italian sodas. We'll stop in again when we head north! read more

--- COVID-19 Times review --- The location: Easy to find, it's in the strip mall across the street from Walmart in Brookings. Clear signage! The place: I didn't go in due to The Pandemic Times, but the drive-thru was easy to find. The menu is easy to read, but didn't have the holiday menu included. Luckily, I'd looked at the Facebook page for Choco Latte earlier that morning and I was able to ask questions about what was available. The service: The service at Choco Latte was superb. Sitting at a drive-thru and asking the barista (through a mask) about the holiday specials while she explained (through a mask) was the specials were, I could still hear her smile. This barista made my morning with her patience and kindness. The drinks: Butter cookie spice mocha - AMAZING. I could taste just the right amount of spice, sweetness, and richness. Beautiful. First off... WOW! As soon as I walked in the door I got welcomed ON A SUNDAY by big smiles and the friendliest girls! The sugar free toasted marshamallow& vanilla.... yes please! With coconut milk!?! HECK YEA!! So freaking good. The place: SPOTLESS! Very clean and had a homey local feel to it. Plenty of room to hang out and visit. They have a drive thru! Even better!! This place is a must stop! I am the type of morning person that does not want to socialize until my morning coffee. This coffee shop is one of my absolute favorites. They soft, kind voices of the baristas will have you starting your mornings off on the right foot. Their fancy coffee flavors are always amazing... I have never gotten a bad cup of something from this place. If coffee isn't your thing I highly recommend trying their pastry section. It is amazing as always. Choco Latte is just a latte fun place, great vibe and extremely personable baristas. I had a vanilla latte plus a white chocolate raspberry scone and they were both absolutely perfect. We sat on their outside patio while I sipped and nibbled, nibbled and sipped. It was the best meal we had had so far on the trip. Very chic little local fudge and coffee shop. The coffee menu is a little limited, but the quality makes up for the lack in quantity. Their iced coffees are fantastic. Their fudge is made in-house, and they have a beautiful little display and samples every time you stop in. The owner of the establishment works here and I have never seen her in anything but a fantastic mood. For Brookings, SD, this is a gem! I am an americano drinker now, but I used to drink white mochas and neither of those drinks compare to anywhere else I have tried in Brookings or Sioux Falls. My wife and I absolutely love this place!! We typically find ourselves visiting Choco Latte after lunch to grab ourselves a couple of decaf cappuccinos as a "dessert". The fudge is outstanding as well and makes a great treat if you're having guests over or want something sweet for a weekend at home. They do a great job accommodating my wife's gluten allergy. They will use a clean, unused knife to cut the fudge for you or they also have a selection of gluten free cupcakes available from a local baker. All of the staff are very friendly and accommodating, but I have to give a big Thank You to Abbie who always makes our cappuccinos perfectly. She also has been going the extra mile to call my wife and I by name when we come in. A must visit if you find yourself in Brookings. read more

It's always difficult to find good coffee on the road. Unfortunately, this sweet little shop is no different. We ordered vanilla lattes, which is usually a safe fail proof order, that ended up tasting burnt and unsatisfying. However, the baristas were incredibly friendly and helpful. We also purchased a nice amount of freshly made fudge, which is delicious and satisfying. Moral of the story, if you're not picky about your coffee, this place is perfect! My sister is new to the Brookings area so when I came to visit she had to tell me all about this wonderful store where they had the BEST chocolate around. I'm notorious in my family for loving anything chocolate. While the drinks are good on their own it's hard to resist the alluring fudge and other chocolates they have on display. The best part is they let you sample the fudge so you don't end up getting something you don't absolutely love! I have been the the chocolate shop in Watertown and unfortunately they just take store bought products, dip them in chocolate, package and resell it at a higher price then it's worth. Imagine my surprise when I found out that this chocolate store actually makes it's own marshmallows! I will be back soon! read more

If you are from out of town and looking for a pick-me-up, this is the only place to go, for several reasons: 1) They make the best espresso in town. I've gone everywhere multiple times, and this is the only coffee shop that never burns their espresso or coffee. I've been here dozens of times and have yet to get a bad cup. 2) You don't even have to get out of your car. It is the ONLY place in town with a drive-thru window, and it is not far off the interstate. 3) It is a local business, and you can definitely tell. The owner always remembers me, and is genuinely passionate about what she does. The other baristas are also always upbeat, and great with recommendations if you aren't sure what to choose. 4) They are FAST. I've been to other places in town and literally had to wait 30 minutes for a latte. I have never waited more than a few minutes here, even when they were really busy. read more

I was a little hesitant to try a local coffee shop, but they impressed me with their coffee. As a college student, it is a wonderful place to come to relax and get a break from all the buzz of being on campus. I like to bring my homework and sip on coffee.
