Plenty of healthy options, plenty of fresh juice options, and plenty of options for those with dietary restrictions. If you're looking for something organic, free-range or fair trade in Mullingar, chances are Ilia are your first port of call. Their coffee shop is a treat too. You can people-watch downstairs, or crash out on the couches upstairs. If you're dining, there's a bright seated area in the back. Their coffee is delicious too. It starts at €2.10 for filter coffee, and €2.75 for a cappuccino and goes up from there. Pretty average prices I suppose. But, it tastes great. If you don't feel like getting caffeinated, there's a choice of herbal teas and smoothies. Oh, and those Luscombe soft drinks that manage to make you slightly less guilty about drinking sugar water than a Coke does. The food is pretty decent, although not to the same standard as the coffee. They've a breakfast and lunch menu, and some ice-creams as Summer specials. The toilets weren't very clean either which is always a good indication of likely overall restaurant experience. Overall below average café for cooked food. Perhaps stick to just coffee and pastries if your coming here.
