I absolutely love sweets and ice cream, especially soft serve. The chocolate dipped cones are amazing. You can definitely tell that they use high quality chocolate. The soft serve ice cream is very good as well, though the chocolate dip does overpower it a bit. I feel like next time I'll just get a regular plain cone, mainly because the dip is very thick and after a while it becomes a bit too sweet. Overall 3.5 - Customer service was better than the product itself. Chocolats Favoris is a fancy, Godiva/Purdys type chocolate shop with a focus on the soft serve counter with various high-quality chocolate dips / toppings. The soft serve counter takes up almost 50% of all the products, e.g. chocolates, brownies, & other chocolate based cakes/squares. In order to taste the actual product, I just got a vanilla soft serve with red velvet dip, it was a seasonal flavour, so I thought that I'd try it out. Worker said that it wasn't sweet, but I thought that it was almost as sweet as white chocolate! Not very enjoyable as I don't like super sweet things. I love soft serve and have had better, much better. The dip kinda overpowered the actual soft serve itself. It wasn't particularly creamy! Coffee was Nespresso, so FYI. Mini/Small cone was $5/6 bucks, so it ain't cheap. If you like soft serve and wanna try something, I'd just get a plain dip as opposed to "Freaky" - or whatever those crazy concoctions are called. Their location in Montreal was one of my favourite ice cream shops, and this one is no different. The best place to go if you want thick, high quality chocolate on soft serve. I got the vanilla mini with hazelnut praline milk chocolate, which was absolutely delicious. Although it was the second smallest size, next time I would have to share with someone or go one size down. Personally, I prefer gelato over soft serve, but rich chocolate trumps all. Customer service was extremely friendly, and they let me try the chocolate and pumpkin spice soft serve flavours, along with a few more chocolate dip flavours. COVID-19 Precautions: 5/5 It felt very safe - all staff was wearing masks and gloves Chocolate Dip: 5/5 WOW! this is the best dip I've ever had. This place specializes in chocolate, so it was so surprise that the dip was perfect. It was unbelievably thick as well, unlike typical ice cream dips that just chip off the ice cream. It was great. Highly reccomended. Ice Cream: 3/5 It was only okay. I understand that the place emphasizes the chocolate, but the ice cream was bland, even for vanilla. I would highly suggest adding more vanilla to the ice cream to add some real flavour. Cone: 1/5 Ugh this cone was not good. Very cardboardy, and bland. Again, it's mostly forgiven because the chocolate is the real draw, but the cone sucked. The benefit is thst the portions are so big, that you may not even get to the cone. Better yet, skip the cone all together and get it a cup. Toppings: 5/5 Great quality! Overall: I'll give this a 4/5. I went becuase reviews for the dip were great, and the dip did not disappoint. The ice cream itself needs some work, and the cone is awful, but they're chocolate is high quality, which is what you should be going there for more than anything else. read more

I happened to be in Guelph on one of the hottest days of July and came here after some recommendations from Guelph friends. I was told that this is the best ice cream here and I was not disappointed !!! Me and my boyfriend both got the second smallest size for the ice cream cone. It was just the right size to satisfy my craving but also not feel too guilty about eating too much ice cream. I got the dark chocolate with raspberry crumbs. The dark chocolate went so well with the vanilla ice cream and the raspberry. It was a very good balance without tasting overwhelmingly sweet. I definitely recommend this combination if you are a fan of dark chocolate. I also tried my boyfriend's Oreo combination. It was good for a few bites but definitely got too sweet for me after more bites. My boyfriend liked it more than my dark chocolate though. Overall I enjoyed the ice cream here!!! I can see myself coming here every day during the summer if I'm a Guelph resident LOL :) read more

Ice cream is very good, however it is very rich with the dipped chocolate. I recommend getting a size smaller than you think you need. I got a small and it came out bigger than I thought it would and I couldn't finish it. It's hard to get through all of the dipped topping because it is so rich. So beware of that but it's definitely worth a try. read more

This place is amazing!! It's fun, and has a cute atmosphere. Everyone working is super friendly and helpful and you can tell they love building there, which makes you love being there too! Great to go on your own, with family, on a date, for a celebration, what have you really. They've got chairs and tables outside, and plenty of indoor seating too. Be warned though; you will SPEND because everything is too good not to try! I came down from Toronto to check it out and will definitely come again!! read more

The Store Brand chocolate bars are high quality. The midday staff on October 5th were friendly and very enthusiastic about their products when I asked about the ice cream and a suggestion for a Vegan appropriate chocolate bar. I'll go back to try the ice cream next time I'm in Guelph. read more

i cannot...cannot believe that people dont know what this place is. best ice cream dip place ever.

Disappointed!! There was not a clean table in sight and many chairs had ice cream drips on them! Also the garbage can outside was overflowing and obviously had not been emptied all day. The floors were sticky. We paid $11 for a mini cone and a small cone and one of them had only chocolate on it. The cone were not great either. Probably won't go back. read more
