Dropped off some outgoing mail. Easy access. The drive is a little steep going in and out and very tight with the angle parking so pay attn. Went to send a package today. The post office was open, yet i was the only customer there since it was early. And I was standing there for about 2-3 mins waiting to be served by someone , which by the way was at the desk and saw me walk in yet couldn't be bothered to assist me. I was assisted 2-3 mins later. Kind of ridiculous since I was the only customer there. The first woman who ignored me was rude, the Second Lady had an attitude. I also want to complain that they've messed up delivering my mail as well. I missed bills because I never received them for two weeks+. At first I thought it got lost in the mail. I have been attempting to get several items ordered through Amazon delivered to my home recently. The orders were sent through USPS with postage paid in advance through Amazon. The Choctaw post office, July 3, 2025, 07:53, said they made attempts to deliver the items but were not able to because there was not a secure location to leave the items. On Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 07:33, a postal employee called my home and informed me that there would be additional postage due (COD), for each item stating the sender had only paid $2.00 (two dollars) towards the postage. I informed him that the postage was paid by me in advance. I asked him to take a picture so I could send it to Amazon, he said he would and that he would forward it to me, I have not received anything as of this date. There was supposed to have been a sticker left at the front door by the postal carrier on Thursday and again on Saturday when a third attempt was made in the morning of July 5, 2025, at 08:17. When inquiring as to how the postal employee could make an attempt to deliver something to my home without being seen and recorded by the video camera at the front door the person at the post office stated they made an attempt. I am going to attempt to load several photos of various vehicles that drove by my house on Thursday morning and the pictures of the postal truck approach and driving away after stopping for four seconds at the mail box on the afternoon of Thursday and Saturday. There has not been any postal employee stop, walk to my front door, knock/ring the doorbell to attempt to leave a package. The only way they approached my door was if the US Postal Service has invested in a Military Grade Stealth Cloaking device that blocks cameras from seeing them as they approaching a customers home. The postal employee did leave the notification for the packages in the mailbox on Saturday afternoon when delivering the mail shortly after 17:00 hours. The amount of Postage due on three 30 pound boxes does not make sense. The amounts owed are significantly different. I question the validity of the COD charges. read more

As a shipper in another state, shipping to customers in the area of this post office is a nightmare. Without fail they always want extra postage, even though my packages were already reviewed and paid for at my local office without issue. I sent a bubble mail envelope to the area twice and both times they wanted to charge 'package rates', even though what they wanted was more than it would have cost to ship it in a box! I double checked with my local post office as I send these mailers all over the country, including Guam, Puerto Rico, Alaska, and Hawaii, without issue everywhere but Chocktaw, OK. They double checked thickness, weight, and bendability and told me there was no reason they should want more postage. They're just greedy I guess, and want to rip off their customers. I will no longer ship to this area unless they order enough items to ship in a box. I can only hope they don't demand more postage for that as well. read more

I have postal person that is so lazy he can't shut the lid on my box. on 10/12/24 I had a package delivered . I live about 100 yards from the street. in all their wisdom they decided to leave my package about 10 yards from the street in plain view. I'm assuming the person is just lazy. This is the WORST mail service I have ever received anywhere! They cannot deliver the mail to the correct address half the time. They redeliver certified mail on the WRONG redelivery I requested and of course they are closed by the time I get off work. The automated crap on USPS website will not allow me to request another redelivery date because of idiots not paying attention to detail. Today is the 23rd not the 26th (date I requested to delivered as that is when I would be fricking home to sign for it). Apparently, they cannot read or just plain stupid! It is tough to rate a post office because they are a government operation and there is no need for quality customer service. The customers need the postal service and even if the customer service is terrible they will still stay in business. Three stars for the Choctaw post office is pretty kind. We have received other people's mail and we have not received mail because there was a car parked on the street near, but not blocking the mailbox. The mail carrier will not get out of the vehicle. If they cannot drive up to the mailbox they hold your mail. The post office itself is pretty run down and needs some love. The best part is that the staff who work the counter are nice. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS POST OFFICE!! It's never open when it's supposed to be and when it does open it's closes 10 minutes before the closing time. Employees are rude and not helpful at all. No customer service and most of the time have no idea what's going on. I would rather drive an extra 10 minutes out of my way then spend 10 seconds in this post office.
