Dr. Patel didn't spend much time with me at all, recommended septum repair & threw in turbinate reduction even though I wasn't having problems breathing (aside from the break). So now I am +4 months post surg & my nose won't stop running because the turbinates were reduced too much. Options are nasal drying spray (which hasn't worked) or another (pricey) surgery to build the turbinates back up - no thanks. My nose is straight(er) but the tip is still numb & the nares area is so tender I can't blow my nose like a normal person. I REALLY regret having this done.

The staff who answer the phone for both the ENTs and audiology are incompetent and rude. The office that serves both sides uses computer phones. My patient with hearing aides cannot understand them at all. They mumble, they echo, they talk on speaker and do not use headphones+microphone. When you tell them, they say there's nothing they can do and move on. I asked them to pass on the feedback and they said it's not their job. I was interrupted and then hung up on twice -- because I described the problem and told them it is unacceptable. My patient, who is an adult child, was hung up on because she could not hear them. THIS IS AN OFFICE THAT WORKS FOR (not with, FOR) PEOPLE WITH HEARING ISSUES, and they hang up on you because you can't hear the system they use, which does not cater to deaf and hard-of-hearing! The one I talked to one of the times said she doesn't even talk to that many hearing impaired people, and that she and other staff can't hear us well either. There seems to be no training for the staff to first of all understand that they serve the patients not the other way around, and that they have to cater to the population with disabilities that this business exists for! The doctor and audiologists are fine if you make it past this joke of a scheduling system.

Thankfully, she set the expectation that the hearing aid would be uncomfortable for up to 2 weeks. We are well past the 2 week period and my mom's hearing has improved dramatically!! My mom has been fitted with the Lyric hearing device. It is tiny and cannot be seen at all! We have been waiting for an X-small Lyric for several years. It is finally available. Just to give you an example of Dr Rosinko's awesomeness, the 1st week into my experience, I needed some tweaking to my device, which she had fully explained could happen. I sent her an email through my devices app explaining my concerns. Within a day she was able to upload new settings to my hearing aid to correct the issue, without even having to step foot in the office. My daughter (over 18yrs) went to CENTA about a hearing issue. They did not listen to her at all…read morebut did a standard hearing test and told her to follow up in 3 months. On the follow up visit , I attended her visit. I was shocked to see how the audiologist dismissed my daughter's concerns and told her past tests were normal, and they had nothing else to offer. If hearing is not a physical issue with the ear, then there can be another issue. CENTA (the Center for EAR, Nose, Thoart and Allergies) is supposed to be a certified physician, but no doctor ever looked at my daughter's case and dismissed us. When I pushed the issue, the audiologist told us that we needed to see a Neurologist and would send us a referral. They never followed thru. So disappointed in the care or lack of care we received.

His first step was tell me that I needed a feeding tube and although I would have never considered it but he scared the witts out of me and we set the appointment for the feeding tube to be placed. The next appointment I was told how insane I was to attempt natural healing for such a thing as cancer. He told me that if I did not do EXACTLY as HE said that I would be dead within 6 months. He never sat down with me and explained if he did surgery how much of my tongue he would take. I never received copies of any of the reports and/or visits. He continually berated me and said that if I had never had a good vacation that I should spend my money and take a nice vacation before I died instead of wasting it on natural things. I explained to him that if I submitted to his surgery, at only 100 lbs and that I did chemo and radiation at this weight that his curse would come true and I would be dead within 6 months. I explained to him that God did not die place him on the throne, that he had no control over my demise. That I would live, I am still here over 1 1/2 years later. I still have a tumor, it has not metastasized at this point. I had no plans to return to his office and then received a letter stating that he was firing me as a patient. AS IF HE was GOD once again. I explained many times that it was my body and my choice. THIS IS WHY I despise most medical doctors...they believe they know it all and no one else has a brain. Be careful folks, they will kill you if you allow it. I am still on my journey and I call the shots, not some Doctor that thinks he is GOD and talks down to people, telling them they will be dead in 6 months if they do not do what he says. I HAVE BEEN BEGGING FOR MY MEDICAL RECORDS FOR OVER A YEAR AND THEY REFUSE TO SEND THEM TO ME. I am looking into what can be done to them for denying me access to my own records. I had the records faxed to another facility and the font is about a size 3-5 and no one can read them. I would not take my dogs to this facility.

Even though I returned numerous times, she at one point said she could not help me without additional charges. Blah.... I went to a big box store where I got hearing aids at a reduced price and felt that I would always use them for my needs. However, my insurance started covering the price of hearing aids and I decided to take advantage of it. After seeing elderly parents struggle with technology they would never use and pay unreasonable charges for service begging to hear I was reluctant to go to anyone who could put me in that same situation. I looked at the credentials of several hearing centers. I called and talked to secretaries that answered the phone and judged how welcome I would be in their office based on how cordial they were to my call. I looked at the education of the Audiologist and found an office that would fit my need. I found Whisper Hearing Centers in Nora. Meghan Schnellenberger, Au.D.,CC/A and Dr. of Audiology. I went in and met Meghan. From the minute I walked in I was welcomed by the office staff. Then Meghan, and I sat down to talk, I felt comfortable and felt sure I was going to get quality service. I told her how I felt about being over charged and that was a concern. She understood and began to ask questions regarding what my hearing needs were. After a hearing test, we sat down again, for about an hour. We discussed the various products she had to offer and asked if there was one that interested me. We actually both choose the same product. No money crossed hands, and she ordered my hearing aids. Two weeks later the aids came in and we met again to deliver them. She covered everything. She covered the warranty, she covered of course, how to use them. She set them up on my iPhone, she tested by ability to hear, tested the charger and then gave me everything in writing. I feel this is the best care I have ever received. My husband teases me, "and you didn't want to go to a real office" Well, believe me when I tell you if you need hearing care don't pass up Meghan Schnellenberger. You will not be sorry. When we were ending our appointment, she wanted to know if I needed to come back in a couple weeks. I did not feel it was necessary. She told me it would be nice if I would make an appointment in a few months to say hello, let her know how I am doing and she would clean my hearing aides and double check everything.
