My experience of car rental companies to date had been so so at best. I was stunned that they called me within about 5 minutes of my insurance company approving the rental to me over the phone. They offered to collect me from my house as they knew that my vehicle was not roadworthy and when I got there, they offered me a choice of vehicles. They told me that a set rental had been agreed with my insurance company but that they would liaise with the vehicle repairers and extend my rental as necessary. When I spoke to them on the phone and when they showed me round the vehicle they were incredibly thorough and professional. All car rental companies should be like this.

On showing photos of car, they admitted they made mistake and it was their worker who collected the car that got the chip. Also had issue with them automatically paying 'Private Parking Invoices', from private land owners without first making contact with the hirer. They take directly from your debit card leaving absolutely no chance of appealing and getting money back. Tried explaining that it wasnt't even a local authority, parking fine or parking penalty, but they don;t care and simply put phone down on me.

I have always rented top of the range vehicles and paid my bills on time. A number of faulty vehicles the past month one of which a handbrake failed and while I was inside at home, the Ford Focus rolled into a fence (could of been a child). Apex showed no interest in the problem whatsoever and advised me I should take the issue up with ford as it is not their problem. They then demanded I pay them £350 for damage which I agreed I could pay by the end of September (this month). The company would not wait 2 weeks for the payment. A number of aggressive emails from 3 managers has resulted in cancellation of contract and a threat they are going to report me to other rental agencies. Ask your self, is this company worth the hassle? No probably not. Would not recommend to anybody, use a reputable company like enterprise to ensure you get the best service and not some fake rental.

From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, you feel like you're the only customer in the world. Having had really bad experiences with some other garages, these guys are a breath of fresh air, not at all condescending and so very pleasant to deal with. And most importantly they do a very good job on the car at a very reasonable price. They are brilliant and I can't speak highly enough of them and the standard of work .
