Now this is a real nice and cool place to stop for a pit stop if you are in Texas on Interstate 37 between San Antonio and Three Rivers. They have a real nice variety as well as plenty of country style items to buy. Plenty of drink selections along with a nice fresh looking Deli. The restrooms are clean as well as the store itself which makes for a nice pleasant stop. read more

This is my regular stop on my way down South. The reason why I stop here is because they have clean restrooms and it's well lit. At night it's always the best place to stop in the middle of nowhere. I've never purchased anything but gas at this store. Can't comment on the food. It's a safe location to stop - gas up and use the facilities. read more

Zero rating. Extremely poor customer service. Waited to get serviced at the prepared food counter and was clearly ignored. Found the beef jerky I like and decided to get the $27 bag. We had sodas and other goodies for the road. Went to cashier and her attitude was not expected. She sensed our frustration and did not correct it. We left all the goodies and the beef jerky on the counter and walked out. We will never visit a Choke Canyon gas station ever again. There are plenty of choices when you are on a road trip. read more

I would give them a zero star rating if I could! The staff is rude and useless, restrooms omg!! The restrooms are filthy (of the stalls they had unlocked) I was told they only unlock two so they only have to clean two stalls, when I brought the conditions of the restrooms to their attention, they acted like why is this person even talking to me... well they don't have to worry about this patron anymore for I will never shop there again! Folks, just drive a little bit further south and there is a Loves travel stop with much friendly staff. read more

No stars for this stop I drove 7 miles out of my way to get a breakfast tacos at 4:30 am to be at work by 5:00 am and the cashier working would not sale me any tacos . Tacos were ready the store was open but the young lady Said she could not sale me any tacos before 5:00 am I ask are you turning a customer away she said sorry but yes. After driving all the way down to TX from Minneapolis, MN, we stopped for gas here, and they have an in-station quick grill. Beware, the over-counter menu board has the wrong prices on it and when I brought it to their attention that I was significantly overcharged, Gloria there copped an attitude and pretty much said it didn't matter what the menu board said; the price in the register is the price that they charge. So I told them I wanted my money back and was cancelling the order. Then, and only then, did they make an off-the-register refund. It seems to me to be a pretty shady operation with really questionable business practices. I recommend going to the next exit and skipping this aggravating place entirely. read more

Awesome spot to stop for a few snacks or a bathroom break. The benches out front are in the shade and comfortable for a quick sit. The inside was clean and cool and offered the usual crap foods plus a fresh cut fruit cup, nuts, trail mix, water and whole fruits. For those who want it there is a - for lack of better terms - fry bar in the back. Anything and everything fried. What appeared to be chicken, fish, potatoes. Lots of brown foods with liquid cheese to top them! There are also fun Texas themed things for sale like wall hangings, candied jalapenos in jars, cowboy hats and more. The bathrooms are super clean and feature a changing station, full length mirror, automatic features and even a kid chair/harness in the stalls so mom can have both hands free. Overall, a wonderful place to stop. I would hope for more green space for kids could stretch out or perhaps a dog run for potty breaks but there is a highway stop close by. read more

Every time I get stuck coming here for gas none of there card readers outside work and a handful of gas pumps are down, but the staff is too lazy to mark which ones aren't working. So the customer gets stuck going inside and out to pay and find a pump that actually works. Very frustrating and the staff seems tot think it's just a fun joke they get to play. read more

i came into this store friendly & said "hello" to (3) ladies tending the front counter. i asked for prices on some sun hats & pointed to them when one of the workers so rudely responded they are different prices. so, i asked if they were price marked then , she responded "no". i then ask how will i know what price is which hat & dhe answered so very rudely & with a big grin on her face, "because i just told you!" w.o.w.!!!!! i asked her not to be rude to me. she just laughed... as i start to walk away towards the sun hats i stop, look back & tell her "your rude!". where she immediately responded... "thank you". needless to say i asked for a manager. the rude clerk stood steps behind the manager as i explained what had just transpired with her employee. unbelievable!!!! 1st time at the store ever.... what an experience i had and above everything.. no phone number to the store or to corporate office... who oversees these people??? who pays them??? i smell a fish.... something is not right here.. i'll look more into it tomorrow for future customers who might have to deal with rude ms. denia wallaa read more

Nice convenience store but the worst breakfast tacos ever. Rude employee and will sell the pre-made options. No special requests.

Yesterday we stopped here bc the restrooms are always clean and the hot food is great. BUT....the woman working the kitchen wouldn't stay off her cell phone to wait on us and the many others waiting. She had a bad attitude, throwing food in a bag, slamming the doors. She just wouldn't stay off get phone. I make this trip monthly and always stop here. No longer will i stop. read more

Zero stars. The guy behind the food counter made my burger with his bare hands. He grabbed the pickles from the container with his bare hands, he didn't even wash them before. No gloves. Nothing. Absolutely disgusting. When I asked for my burger to be remade he gave attitude. Who knows how long he's been doing that without anyone catching him. DO NOT order food here. Restrooms are always clean, snacks are expensive. But pretty friendly so we always stop here on the way to Rockport.

This is the ONLY clean stop between San Antonio and Corpus Christi. Gas costs on average 9 cents less than gas stations just south of San Antonio. Good selection of souvenirs, deli sandwiches, fruit cups and sweet treats for both big and little kids. Highly recommend! read more

Always considered this our go to stop on the road for clean bathrooms and snacks. But customer service is definitely NOT their priority. We bought a small slushee . They were out of lids for the small cup. We grabbed an empty large cup and lid and informed the cashier they were out of small lids. She said "yeah, we don't have any for the small cups, we ran out". I grabbed a large cup and lid to transfer the contents of the small cup into. "She stated she would have to charge extra for the large cup and lid". I informed her I wouldn't pay extra and gave her back large cup and lid and she rudely stated "it's company policy, we have to charge". Hmmmm....I would think company policy would be having good customer service. If you run out of something because you did not order the correct item or enough of the item, why should the customer be responsible for their mistakes. What happened to trying to accommodate the customer and maybe an apology for the inconvenience ? If this is the type of personnel being hired, we will no longer be stopping here.
