I figured I'd give them another chance. The pedicures themselves did, in fact, get rave reviews when I talked to them about it, but the service itself overall still disappoints me for two reasons. One, I deliberately picked the expensive pedicure, and when my mother and her sister called to book, they weren't warned not to shave their legs beforehand. Therefore they did, and therefore they didn't get the salt scrub that was included with said pedicure. Two, this place *again* tried to rebook *on the day* of the pedicure. My mother wasn't home and they ended up having to fit them in, but really! It seems to show a poor lack of organizational skills in general.

The stylist started slowly brushing through my hair to see which way my hair fell (which should be the proper procedure). That is when the owner came by, wound up a timer and set it for about 20 minutes. She then promptly sat down, arms crossed and watched. Obviously, this got the stylist nervous and she quickly started cutting. And out popped my cowlicks like 'wack-a-moles! At the end of the cutting, hair product was liberally applied to control what was left of my hair. What a disaster!

I would not recommend Matisse day spa for a pedicure manicure. There are so many reasons why I do…read morenot recommend it. First being there are only two technicians and it's difficult to get in. The second is they don't use gel polish they use shellac, which is not just a name change it's a difference in the strength of the polish it leaves your nails weaker therefore they break easier. Third you have to book an appointment to takeoff your previous nail polish. If you have any on at a cost of $22 absolutely ridiculous that's on top of your pedicure manicure. If you miss booking the nail polish remover, they will not finish her appointment so you could leave there with only a pedicure or manicure- if they run out of time, they simply will not finish. And last but not least the management is downright rude. When I mentioned that I was charged $44 for nail polish remover on top of my pedicure manicure, they also put in my last review that they took care of it, but they never called me back and I had to phone them back - they finally credited me back $20 but again I would never go back. The building itself is old dusty. It is not comfortable to get a pedicure while you're sitting in an old chair and you have to move your leg around a bar. furthermore, there's no massage chair very expensive.
