I've driven to this salon on two separate occasions. It's about a two hour round-trip for me…read morebecause I live closer to Pennsylvania. That being said there's a certain standard that one might expect when driving that far. And I can assure you that while I may have been oblivious to it the first time I went I definitely didn't miss it the last time. I just went in a few days ago for a retwist, and I noticed several unhygienic aspects of how they do business. First thing aside from the holes in the wall and dirt all over the floor, they smoke hookah inside the salon. None of the hair clips get re-washed after use, or at least the ones that were use while I was there. There was gel residue, in foreign hairs, all over all of the clips, some of which were also rusted. Those same clips I just described, then got put into my hair as well as any other clients who were there. So at this point, my hair was washed, and now has dirty clips put in it will re-twisted, and then they sit you down in a hairdryer That also has residue all over it. In both of the times that I've been there I've never seen anyone clean a single thing in my last re-twist from start to finish took four hours. I can honestly say that I'm not sure what I saw this place or why I thought it was worth driving so far but I won't be going back again and I can only help that they pull her back into their business. The workers are otherwise mostly friendly, but paying $140 for a retwist of this quality was horrendous, especially when I walked out with all kinds of stray hairs.

I went for a consultation and we agreed on a stylist that would install my loc extension. (Day one) When I arrived I was told that the person is available just stepped out for a short moment, 30 minutes after they told me the person is out of town. I agree to go with a different stylist and she asked me to start installing the locs the following day. 2. (Day 2) My appointment was at 5:30am, and the shop remained closed until 6:40 am. There I was waiting in the cold, no call to reschedule, nothing. 3. I showed them a picture of how I want my hair to look, the owner gave me a price, half way through they told me to pay now at a higher price (said she didn't include everything). 4. We came to a price agreement and after I paid they did not complete the job. 5. Their attitude felt like I asked them to do my hair for free. They treated me with such disrespect. There was no apology for all I went through. Nothing.
