The transporters were courteous, sympathetic, gentle and very patient. So, I called Yellow Cab for a ride home. The price was about what I expected, but the cab was clean, and the driver was well-dressed and conversational, without being pushy. He got me home by the most direct route, and helped unload the groceries -- at least as far as the back porch.
