extremely overpriced! quality was mediocre. Put baseball pants hem came out after two wears. And the skirts were $28 per skirt!

I brought in my couch pillow to be repaired after my puppy chewed the zipper. Besides the chewed zipper, the cover was brand new. I returned to pick up the pillow and case and he just gave me the repaired case - no pillow. He admitted to losing the pillow and kindly asked me to come back he would make a new one. I just picked it up today and there are new brown stains all over the case. I asked him about the stains, to which he scolded me that he wouldn't accept people trying to blame him for stains that were already there. There were no stains when I dropped it off, nor when I tried to pick it up the first time. He told me to take it for free, so I left. See additional stains on the "new" pillow he made for me inside of the case. Also see a poorly sewn on zipper, thread hanging off the case. I do not recommend bring anything important here. read more

If you're under the age of 30 don't come here. The older gentleman working the front must have a grudge with the younger generation I came here twice and was nothing but nice and respectful and he was always rude to me, but the next person behind me who was older he was always nice to. Not to mention the 2nd shirt I brought him I told him I wanted 2 inches of length off, without measuring he just grabbed the chalk made a line and said ok come back in a week. I said that's not where 2 inches is I measured it he said yea I know it's where I won't cross. I come back a week later to a now ruined shirt that doesn't fit me as he cut off about 5 inches of fabric or more... Do NOT COME HERE!!! read more

He is a true master at his craft. I had a suit altered and he knew how to do the height and hem style for the new skinny suit pants that others in town had a hard time with. He makes custom suits from scratch for high end suit brands. How many people in town do that? read more

Really poor service for curtain alterations and very poor impolite customer service. I came in and asked if they can alter curtains by 6 inches, the person at the counter advised it is not appropriate to take strictly 6 inches off, he sounded very defensive from the beginning that somebody is asking him to do something precisely. I said then all right please do what you need to do to make curtains all same length 102". Curtains all came back different length, in some cases off by as much as 3 inches (see photos attached) because they were not cut straight at the bottom. When I called to provide feedback, I immediately faced a defensive mood, loud voice, "not sure how you hung them sweetie bring them here I will remeasure them in front of you." Well, first of all I am not sweetie but a customer and the fact that I am a pregnant girl doesn't mean one can patronize me. Shame on you. And if you don't have much experience altering curtains -- don't take the job. We paid $100, ended up with spoiled curtains (a loss of $250) and a very poor experience. Shame on this place for fooling people into the quality of their service and charging such a high premium. read more

This business does not understand what their posted hours of operations mean. They say open to 3pm on Saturday but I have never seen them open past 12pm. Every time they have some sub par excuse which is worthless since their posted hours says something different. But you can tell by the location of his business is in represents the ownership. read more

Absolutely love this place. I brought a dress in for alterations at 8am on a Friday and asked to have it back by 2pm for a wedding that weekend. Not only was the dress ready on time, but it was beautifully done. And at a reasonable price! On top of it all, they were so so nice about everything. When I picked up the dress, I was rushing around in my husband's car, and forgot the keys... When I realized this, I left the car running with the door open while I tried on the dress and paid. They did not mind keeping an eye on the car at all. I know, I'm ridiculous. But they are fabulous. My husband and I take dry cleaning there regularly as well, and they do a great job. I came here for dress alterations. The dresses fit well and the prices were moderate. However, one dress that I had not yet even worn somehow got snagged and damaged and the damage could not be fixed. When I pointed out the damage the lady first tried to blame it on the flat ring that I was wearing, which had nothing sticking out that could snag a dress. After taking the dress to the back for a moment, she brought it back, turned it so that the backside was facing out, and put it in my bag without my other dresses, without first showing it to me, and then told me the price as if everything was done and taken care of. I pulled the dress out again and pointed out that it was still damaged and had not been fixed. I was told it could not be fixed at that point. They gave me a $20 and credit and said that was the most they could do. While I appreciate the gesture, it does not fix a bridesmaid dress that cost close to $200 and that I now must wear to a wedding damaged. I understand that accidents and mistakes can happen, but I was most disappointed with the quick accusation that the damage was my fault and not theirs, and the dishonesty of trying to hide the dress initially and not admitting the damage. Had they handled the situation more honestly, professionally, and sympathetically I would have given a higher rating and might have gone back again. read more

This has taken me awhile to write this review. I actually never write reviews, but I felt as though I must share my experience with 'Chris'. I must say, they first few times I went in there, everything was great. Then, that all changed. I went to go pick up my husbands 4 pairs of pants WITH the ticket. He looked for 5-10 minutes and said he couldn't find them, he had a client in there getting fitted so he said let me look after I'm done with this customer. I said, ok, no big deal, I'll come back later. He then phoned me when I got home basically saying, they weren't there, and that my husband must have got someone else to pick them up. Impossible I told him. But to give him the benefit of the doubt, I said, let me just triple check with my husband (even though he had been out of town for work so there was no way he picked them up) when I phoned him back to tell him this, he then became very aggressive, rude, and irate. Literally yelling at me, saying I was accusing him of being a liar. When I mention I still had the ticket, and it clearly states on the ticket, that you MUST have the ticket in order to pick up your order, he then hung up on me. I phoned my husband saying you're going to have to deal with this clown when you get back to town, cause I was done dealing (or should I say, done getting yelled at) with him. NEVER in my life have a been spoken to like that, never mind from a business owner. I was honestly dumbfounded, and couldn't believe what had just happened. Things apparently got pretty heated when my husband stopped in there, and he approached my husband with the same, aggressive behavior. He clearly messed up, and either lost the pants, or gave them to the wrong person. He should have been a man, and an honest business owner, and just fessed up, and tried to make it right vs verbally attacking, and blaming us for his mistake. Save yourself the trouble, and take your business elsewhere. I still can't believe it... read more

I've only had one item altered but I was well pleased with Chris. He did not try to overcharge me for basic alterations and he got my item completed in a timely fashion. I will def be coming back for future alterations. Thanks Chris! read more

Amazing! George is able to alter anything! As a designer, he understands suits and dresses, so after one fitting for measurements, you're set. He was able to alter my dress with 5 layers to make it fit so much better. Definitely priced right, if not cheaper, for the quality of work. read more

Based on recommendations through neighborhood facebook groups I decided to give Chris's Alterations and Cleaners a try. I have taken at least three loads of cleaning to them in the last month and have spent in excess of $500. I would certainly not consider Chris's a "bargain" cleaners based on their prices. But because I spend a lot of money on my and my family's clothes, I actually prefer to pay a little extra for quality and dependability. There were a couple of minor issues, like unraveling seams on relatively new garments that were not damaged before clothes were brought in or items brought in for minor alterations that were given back in a wrinkled condition-but nothing that concerned me enough to not come back. Unfortunately, because of the volume of clothes I brought in each time, I did not count the items at the time of pickup. I blame myself for putting too much trust in an unproven business, but the proprietor did not count my items at time of pickup either. As a result, I was missing an expensive dress that I had purchased only weeks before and worn once. When I brought this issue to the attention of the owner, I was told that they did not have my item and I am the one that misplaced it. I have never misplaced an article of clothing in my adult life. I am very disappointed with not only the loss of my dress, but the total unwillingness of the owner to take responsibility for the business's mistake, the immediate shifting of blame onto me, and her failure to attempt to rectify the situation. Needless to say I will not be a returning customer. read more

All my previous years experience with alterations were 5 star! This month I had the opportunity to need a jacket altered by the new owner/tailor, George. The results were just as consistent and professional as I had received in the past. I am happy to continue bringing my business here and I recommend Chris' to others as well. read more
