I could tell she would be able to capture the essence of what I was looking for, while making me feel comfortable, and I was absolutely right! The entire planning process was super easy, from booking the appointment to the initial phone call with Jess. She guided me through every step, ensuring I felt prepared and at ease. On the day of the shoot, it felt as though I was having a photoshoot with a long-time friend. I was so comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire session. Did my google searching for photographers in Houston and contacted about a dozen. Perhaps half responded they weren't available, and half didn't respond. However, one adorable young lady in Austin (3 hours away), Julia Vie of Vivian's Muse, said she was very excited about shooting me! We exchanged several emails about the process and logistics and had an extended phone chat. My trepedation morphed into excitement and anticipation. Let's do this!! The big day! Julia shot perhaps 400 photos in an hour or so, all the while offering instruction, incredible encouragement and showing me what she had captured in her viewfinder. All with a monster camera and first class professional lighting. We shot on the couch, on the stairway, in the window, on the bed. Woah, so exhilerating! Nervousness was gone and my inner goddess had taken over. I'm not one for exaggeration but this was truly one of the best hours of my life. Back the next morning to review and select proofs. Oh no, her computer jammed up, wasn't happening. No problem in the digital age. We had more girly chat, comparing notes on all of the fun we had had the preceding day. A few days later the proofs arrived via email. I was blown away. OH MY! That cannot possibly be me. But...it is! Being a goddess, even for a short while, really gets in your head. And stays there. As I told AMEX, I never said I didn't pay, there is just no way to ANYONE from this company to get my $$ back. I since then have been trying to reach this "Argentina" via email so I have a paper trail and SHOCKER, I have heard NOTHING in about 1.5 months since asking the owner about my refund.
