One of the most promising designers working in mens jewellery is Brighton based craftsman Chris Hawkins. Based in a nineteenth century coach-house that's been converted into a working studio, he designs and produces contemporary collections inspired by nature. Names like Aquatic, Glacier, Antenna, Lozenge and Mako might give the impression his jewellery incorporates hues of blues, greys and greens but his preferred medium seems to be silver and gold.
The smooth, sculptural lines of Chris's cuff-links, rings and pendants give his jewellery a classic and timeless appeal that I imagine would appeal to a lot of men. Recent collections are available through Chris's website www.chrishawkinsjewellery.com and select jewellery boutiques and galleries. Prices for his excellent Stingray collection start around £90 for pendants and £100 for rings. read more
