Vacation from hell! On our third day our ceiling was leaking dirty water from the toilet above us. Urine and feces water was dripping on our toilet and floor. Nothing was done for 19 hours. They told us what did I expect, I called at the end of the day. I called at 4:30 PM. That is when it started. Apparently they did not feel it was an emergency and there was no need to call a plumber and pay the extra money. To stop the leak they removed part of the ceiling near the vent and stuffed paper towels in it. Then they repaired the toilet above us. They kept the ceiling open for 27 hours. The bathroom smelled like urine and feces. Eventually they put a patch over it. Leaving rotted, moldy, urine drenched wood in the ceiling. It was disgusting. When I spoke to Chris Henderson I requested a partial refund. She did not feel there was any reason for a refund. She told me the bathroom was still usable. When I asked her if she would have showered in that she said yes. As long as the urine was not dripping on her head. I asked her about stepping onto the floor that had urine on it and she told me she would have just laid a towel down. I highly doubt she would have done that. I asked for her to get me in touch with the owner so I could talk to them about the condition of their unit. She said she would get back to me. She has not answered my emails or returned my phone calls. read more

Take your business elsewhere-- I was looking to get some last minute rental information (days prior to going) and asked Beth to look into some of their properties. Never got a return phone call that day & had to follow up myself. She did not bother to look into my requests nor hand off my request to a colleague when she knew she had a day off the following day. When I made the follow up phone call the older woman(I wish I would have gotten her name!) was rude and less than interested in getting answers to my questions. I guess Chris Henderson Reality isn't interested in last minute rentals! Take your inquiries somewhere else that wants your business! read more

I have been renting through Chris Henderson for summer rentals in Wildwood for 14 years. In the beginning, they were amazing. I have been renting at Coastal Colors - and they have been my "go-to" agency for all this time (one year using VRBO due to lack of inventory). Things have been less than stellar over the last few years, but I chalked it up to life. This past year, I rented a town home at Coastal Colors and left my deposit for the first time to put towards next year's rental ($1000). (BTW, I have never not received a full refund on my deposit.) In October I received a letter stating that I needed to sign my lease for August 2020 and send in my additional deposit monies by November or they would refund my current deposit. I am unable to do that week, so I asked that they apply that money toward another unit a week later. No problem, of course. I call back several times over the next week and all to no return calls. Then I find out that the unit I booked (which was available at the time of the call) was given to someone else, because they didn't think I really wanted it. WHAT? Well, that was in October, here is December, and after several non-returned calls - no deposit refund, no booking and no response. I can't say I trust them at all at this point. I'm not sure what is going on - but I am hoping that my money is still in an escrow account and not gone missing. Will be following up with the appropriate agencies at this point. read more

I am sure they have lovely units but the customer service is bare bones. It does not seem they would go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. I had some guidelines including being pet friendly. They replied they had no units that were pet friendly which is understandable but offered no additional suggestion. You are the expert for the area, part of your job is to market the area, why wouldn't you at least offer an alternate suggestion? Now not only can I not use their services but I won't recommend them because their curt response. read more

We arranged a family reunion of rentals condo through Chris Henderson Realty. They were great to work with. They let us know where local rentals were for strollers, cribs, beach umbrellas etc. Met us at the condos to check in and out. The condos totally exceeded our expectations. read more

I would be embarrassed to use Chris Henderson ever again! So many things went wrong. The condo smelt old and dirty. The floors were filled with particles & hair. The pull out couch was broken so they told us a rollaway bed would be there the first day. At check in we were told it would arrive later. It never arrived and there was no one to complain to. The next day they simply shrugged and said they didn't know what happened. The beds came on the second day. The main TV kept shutting off by itself and there was a post it to unplug and plug this wire to turn back on the tv. Again Chris Henderson said Oh they didn't know about this. This must have been the unit owner that did this. Again, taking no responsibility. The fire alarm went off during our stay. 6 of us were inside of the condo. We could not hear it from inside the condo. A family member in another unit knocked on our door to get us out. A few weeks after our stay I got a call from Chris Henderson stating that we would not be getting back our deposit because we peed in their bed. Imagine someone accusing you of this? Very scary to know that if there really was a pee stain that I slept on that! Or they're just lying which is scary to know we were dealing with scam artist the whole time. After threating to sue two months after threatening to sue them they sent a bill which reads as follows: "replaced twin mattress pad, and laundered items stained by tenant: 2 twin quilts, and 1 queen quilt. Also, laundered 4 wash cloths & 2 kitchen towels" So are they accusing me of peeing all over their beds? I'm not even sure. How exactly did I stain their dirty dingy quits? Then another invoice that reads "pick up and clean mattress with urine stains return when clean." Ok fine charge me for the wash cloths I left in the wash machine that morning and forgot to put in the dryer. But anything else is just a scam. This place is definitely unsanitary, unprofessional, and unsafe. I could go on about a lot of other little things that were wrong with this place but I just wanted to get the main issues that we had. Do business with Chris Henderson at your own risk. And I promise you that it would be a risk. read more

I rented a condo using this realtor and was very disappointed in the lack of communication and truthfulness of this realtor. The reason being upon checkout of the unit I rented I was told I was being refunded for the two days I missed due to the a hurricane at half price, which I was content with but low and behold I get my check back for my security and NO! refund and I'm told the owner did not want to refund any money. So my question to you Chris Henderson why LIE!!! To your customers!!!! read more
