Susan Daubenbis

This is my 99th review!…read more Daubenbis is in FT private practice as a Licensed Clinicial Social Worker (LCSW), providing therapy for individuals, couples, and even families. She has experience working with multiple issues, such as chemical dependency, codependency, depression, and anxiety. She is also a certified hypnotherapist, Reiki Master, and practices Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), which is commonly called "tapping." She accepts insurance and cash/check for co-pays. I am NOT in crisis and am NOT medicated, so I can't comment on her psychoanalytical or crisis intervention skills. However, I can tell you why I like Daubenbis. I really just need to talk to someone who is empathic, non-judgemental, adult, and educated...and, who-unlike my friends or family, will not be burdened by my heavy conversation or "woo-woo" beliefs, and takes a spiritual approach to life and counseling. She's the kind of counselor who could help intuitive empaths, healers, and psychics. Everyone could benefit from counseling with Daubenbis. I need someone who is not scared away by woo-woo talk, including such things as tarot/oracle cards, runes, crystals, salt lamps, tachyon products, gong, singing and crystal bowls, essential oils, naturopathic herbs/botanic medicine, Sukyo Mahikari, Kundalini, John of God crystal healing bed, smudging, astrology, dreams, karma, chakras, spirit guides, animal symbolism, soul contracts, spirit attachments, possession, psychics, or other paranormal. I feel certain many psychologists or psychiatrists (ie, pure rationalists) would think that all this woo-woo is a huge red flag for mental illness. Yikes! However, I like that she is grounded and believes that mental illness exists in the physical plane, so if I really needed psychiatric treatment, she'd be able to tell me. Daubenbis is not taken aback by this kind of talk and is really warm and sweet. Her tiny office is comfortable, cozy, and has great mood lighting. It smells GREAT, too. Her Reiki treatments cost $50 and last about an hour. I haven't done any yet so I can't comment on those. Reiki is a Japanese healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch in order to activate the natural healing processes of the patient's body and restore physical and emotional well-being. If Reiki appeals to you also research Sukyo Mahikari. Daubenbis is available by appointment only, but is available on SATURDAYS! UPDATE: 09/2017, I was in crisis over a year ago without realizing it. When I went to see Daubenbis, she told me, "In my professional opinion, you need to do...and you can't wait any longer." In retrospect, her crisis intervention saved my life and my job!

I've gone to Sue for different issues and challenges I was facing but couldn't see my way out of…read more She is an exceptional listener and very grounded. Her advice and support was spot on in helping me resolve my problems. I also learned a great deal about my patterns and my focus on things; many things I was not aware of. She is warm and receiving as well. I can't recommend her highly enough in working through one's troubles.
