The gorgeous grounds are maintained by Rutgers University, the chapel itself part of a long history. Besides weddings, events like baptisms and concerts can be held in its space. This might have changed, but I recall air conditioning wasn't strong - or might not even have been available. This place is a chapel, not a cathedral, so the parking lot is appropriately-sized (read: not huge). If you're organizing for a special occasion and expect a small crowd, consider the Kirkpatrick - and do visit the venue yourself!

As a Rutgers alumni, it goes without saying that this chapel holds a special place in my heart. I've now had the honor to see two sets of friends get married in this majestic building. The room is filled with intricacies and detail. The windows are stained glass and the lighting structures look like medieval crowns. There are paintings of gentleman hanging on the scarlet painted walls. I'm not sure who the people are in the pictures, but they look important. This is a great place for Rutgers alumnae getting married in central jersey to hold the ceremony. I hear that you need to book way in advance. Not surprisingly, a gem like this books up quickly.

The address listed is another church but there's no signs for ROC anywhere. There was also a sign for a Korean church that meets at 11:30 inside so roc wasn't there either. Not sure what's going on or why the website hasn't been updated in some time. I called the number on the website and a guy called back a few minutes later and said he believed they cancelled the service for Father's Day but seemed uncertain and commented that it appeared to be a college church, as though he were unfamiliar with it.

The church looks nice on the inside, and they get a huge tree at Christmas. Some services are in Hungarian on Sunday, some in English.
