Amazing service. Have tried different locations and this is the best one. Great people and atmosphere

Of all the Christian churches I've been to this was certainly one of them. :-) The contemporary music was radio worthy - the voices, the harmony, the guitars, piano, drums and violin playing. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. We were invited by some friends to join them for the 5pm service on Saturday. (They like the guy who was preaching). We got to the church before them so we walked around. It is certainly a place where you can get involved if you want. They have programs for all kinds of activities and groups. The church is modern, upbeat, and dare I say 'hip'? If you're looking for a group of people wearing their Sunday best and a gray-haired organist playing 8 verses of Amazing Grace, you're at the wrong church (which was pointed out to us by an old timer who was using the excuse his back hurt to leave so he could hang outside while his wife attended the service.) The minister we came to see did deliver a good sermon. It had enthusiasm, passion, sincerity and humor. It wasn't laced with a lot of bible quotes or hellfire. It was delivered to teach, inspire and encourage. If I was looking for a Christian church, this would certainly be one I'd consider. read more

I've been attending CCOB since I was born. This church is a wonderful one to grow up in... the availability of children's groups, middle school programs, high school programs, college age and adult programs is fantastic! Plus with the options of both Contemporary and Traditional services, there's truly something for everyone. While the church itself is big, it will quickly seem small with the warmth and friendly atmosphere the community provides. Oh, and don't forget the live-streaming in case you're out of town on weekends, it's so great to never miss a beat. Highly recommend! read more

This is a wonderful church. It is a very large church and offers TONS of different activities, classes, events, etc, but also provides a personal and "small town" feel. Everyone involved seems to care so much. Sunday mornings are, of course, the staple of the week. But you'll find groups and offerings every day of the week. They have an absolutely GORGEOUS new childrens area that opened within the last year. I've never seen anything like it in any other church. Truly amazing concept and architecture. Senior pastor Dr. Dan Meyer is a brilliant, wonderful, and caring man. He married my husband and I, as well as baptised our children. We are extremely lucky to have such a long history in this church (my husband has been attending since he was 3 years old) and look forward to many years of attendance with our children and family. read more

I've been a member of Christ Church for over 12 years. I love the classic service because I like reverence when worshiping. But, you can also find a contemporary service if that meets your needs better. In the past few years, many churches have experienced some decline in worship but I can assure you Christ Church is strong and healthy! We have great leadership. And there are programs available to meet the needs of everyone. It is time for you to come check it out. read more

We moved to the area 4 years ago and were prepared to try out many churches before calling one "our home". This is the first church we tried out, and we never visited another one because we knew this was the church for our family. We immediately loved the two options for services: traditional service (with hymns) or contemporary service (with modern/contemporary music). We had never been to a church that offered both types of services at the same time. I think it's wonderful. Everyone has their own style of worship and they really cater to both styles. They also have "livestream" that you can watch from home if you can't make it to service! We immediately loved Pastor Dan's style of ministering. He is a self-proclaimed "former atheist" and he brings such a zealous and well-informed approach to the gospel that we really appreciate. He has a real passion for what he does, and it's apparent every time he is ministering the word of God. The whole pastoral staff and congregation at CCOB are so welcoming and non-judgmental. Very refreshing. I think that the congregation, as a whole, has a like-minded mindset that we all are on the same journey together: loving God and loving people. I'm excited to raise my children in this church. We honestly couldn't be happier with our decision! I hope you try it and love it as much as my family does! read more

CCOB engaged in fundraising campaigns over the last several years that encouraged families to pledge donations beyond their means. As a result, the money has not come through, and they are facing massive budget gaps from their extensive renovations. Leadership is not being honest with the church community about the reality of what has happened. As a result of the debt, they are in the process major layoffs, including nearly all of their childhood ministry staff. Very sad to see what once was a wonderful community crumbling. read more

Everytime we go Dan Meyer isn't preaching. Website doesn't give much information. We used to go many years ago, wanted to reconnect but not having much luck. read more

This church is really quite amazing in the landscape of modern churches. I really appreciate the traditional classic worship that is offered. For those who want a more contemporary atmosphere, there is also a worship service for them. The music program is very impressive. Very many talented people there. Obviously what contributes to the enjoyment of this church is the amazing pastoral staff led by Rev. Dan Meyer. read more

Finally, I have found a Spirit-led church. I drive 50 minutes to get to this church because it is God-centered, which brings far more power than well-mesning but powerless humanism. My soul has found its home. read more

Each service speaks to you and your everyday life. Much better than the Catholic Church we moved from. Don't know what Deborah the reviewer was talking about, the place is large so if you want to stay under the radar and try to connect with your spiritual side there's an easy path to do this. Plus, love the options ( traditional, contemporary) and kids love the donuts. We finally all want to go to church ( even my teenagers)! read more

I have been a member of this church for a few years and thoroughly enjoy the services and I have made it feel smaller by joining small groups. These include bible studies where I have made lasting relationships that are deep but also include going out to dinner and other social outings. I expected it to be impersonal because of it's size but the people i have met are faith filled, who reach out and love others. It's great, you won't be disappointed! read more

Beautiful Church in a beautiful area! Traditional and contemporary services available, with a great senior pastor Dan Meyer. His sermons are always an interesting! Great children's area with tons of classes to choose from. read more
